I love Ronen so much! He's one of my favorite professors. And then by talking to him a bit more, you learn that he makes class fun because when he was in school, he had to go through quote, "unfortunate", unquote, methods of teaching. So he makes every class that he teaches a class that he wishes he had when he was in school.

I like how the Hogwarts Legacy faculty is a lot nicer than HP era one. Sharp might be stern but isn't openly unfair like Snape and Moon the caretaker actually encourages us to break some rules in order to help him

I found that very much unharry potter like. It didn’t even feel like victorian england. It tried so hard to appeal to our modern tastes that it broke worldbuilding in so many different levels.

Sooo, essentially we have Professor garlick: passionate about herbology and has a bubbly personality. Professor Howin: tends to see beasts as being dangerous and must be respected and cared for appropriately. Professor ronen: charismatic and tends to try and have the students have fun in order for them to learn the subjects in charms. Professor hecat and sharp: former ministry workers who take their classes, dada and potions respectively, very seriously. Professor onai: understands how seeing the future goes hand in hand with preparing for it. Professor shah and Weasley: not much known but they do take their respective classes, astrology and transfiguration, seriously like most of the other professors. Professor binns: tended to be boring to other students as he teaches them history of magic. Professor fig: don’t really see him teach class for us so can’t comment there. Do I have that right?

I feel like each professor here is modeled after a professor or some other character in the HP series. Professor Fig is this game's version of Professor Dumbledore, albeit Fig is a far weaker wizard compared to the latter, obviously. Both professors were someone who students could always turn to in times of great difficulty for wise and sagely advice. Both went to great lengths to protect Hogwarts, and both voluntarily sacrificed themselves to save the school at the end. Professor Sharp looks exactly like Professor Snape in the novels (not the films). However, in terms of his personality, he is similar to Professor McGonagall in that he's strict but not unfair or biased. Maybe he's supposed to be like Snape if Snape never went to the dark side. Professor Ronen is definitely a combination of Professors Lupin and Slughorn. His lessons are fun and interactive and he's most students' favorite teacher, just like Professor Lupin. However, he also is like Slughorn because he doesn't display any signs of prejudice or bigotry despite being a Slytherin. Professor Hecat is clearly based off Professor Flitwick in that looks can be deceiving. Flitwick looked like a tiny and harmless old man when in reality he was an unbelievably powerful wizard, while Hecat seems like a frail old woman (who's actually much younger than her appearance because she was wounded by time), but she too proved to be a very dangerous witch when it came down to it. Professor Garlick seems to mimic what would happen if Luna Lovegood became a professor. Both characters are depicted as being very laid back and carefree while also being eccentric and curious. Professor Weasley is Professor McGonagall, ripped right from the pages of the novels. Their physical appearances, mannerisms, and actions are almost identical. Professor Black is akin to Mr. Filch, even though Filch wasn't a wizard and thus was never a professor, let alone a headmaster. Both characters are deeply disliked by students and professors alike, both seem to hate their jobs, and both are angry and miserable all the time. Professor Howin is just like Professor Grubbly-Plank in every way except for physical appearance. Both are stern with students but Howin, like Grubbly-Plank, is respected by everyone and students enjoyed their lessons with both professors, respectively. Madam Kogawa is pretty much the same as Madam Hooch, both seeming to be fair and unbiased and both having a deep passion for Quidditch. Mr. Moon, if anything, is based off Professor Trelawney. Both have arguably irrational things and both are probably the last people students would rely off of to protect them if need be. Professor Shah is sort of a combination of all the lesser mentioned professors at Hogwarts, such as Professors Vector, Burbage, and Sinistra. All of these professors ultimately play little roles in the overall story at the end, but all were competent and knowledgable professors. Finally, Professor Onai is probably the most unique out of all the professors. If anything she's sort of like Hagrid because both were particularly close with a certain student, Onai with her daughter and Hagrid with Harry, because he rescued him from his destroyed house. However, that's kind of a loose comparison. But back to Professor Onai, the way she spoke and taught was very similar to Professor Trelawney, although Onai clearly is an exponentially stronger witch. In this regard, though, I feel like the developers were quietly hinting that Onai was a fraud who rarely makes accurate predictions and when she does it's just coincidental. I wish they showed her having an actual moment of clairvoyance like what happened with Trelawney (twice) but Professor Onai didn't need some sort of redemption arc, unlike Trelawney.

Great analysis although I disagree on 2 points. 1) aside from the bun which isn't nearly as severe as described weasley is nothing in terms of looks like McGonagall BUT I agree they have similar attitudes 2) I never got the sense Onai was a fraud. She actually seemed to have a better understanding of divination in my opinion and how while for those without the specific gift there can potentially be indications of the future it's not really as set in stone as trelawney always made out (nor is she nearly as irritatingly over the top towards stufents) she seemed to acknowledge people's choices still matter.

It's not that weird to head Canon that Wizard kind isn't racist against skin tone, and being such a small worldwide community with the ability to teleport, that they aren't as homogeneous as muggles.
