As videogames adapted/derived from literary works, this is the absolute best ever. Generationally the Harry Potter series is a bit "younger" than my demographic (as in this is literature I read to by kids rather than to myself as a kid), but compared to the video games derived from Tolkien's works (now THAT is the beating heart of fantasy for my generation), Hogwart's Legacy is like Michelin Star gourmet cuisine compared to cold fast food. Exceptionally well done.

Just because JK Rowling made the universe doesn’t mean the team share any of her views and based on what’s in the game that’s super apparent. And even if it was playing the game isn’t an endorsement of their views, people just want to play a fun game in a universe they grew up with as a child. All that attacking people does is push more people into hating trans people. You ever heard the saying “it’s easier to catch flies with honey instead of vinegar” you’re not getting people on your side by acting like psychopaths online. Plus these people using Twitter as a way to share their views when Elon has said multiple extreme anti trans sentiments and uses Twitter numbers as a way to justify his purchase and to get advertisers, still using Twitter. Or using a phone that’s built with slave labour, or wearing all your clothes that come from sweat shops. These people weren’t protesting outside universal studios when it was making jk Rowling millions. It’s virtue signalling and they’re bored online and using it as justification to harass people. No the only reason people are attacking this and streamers is because it’s easy. It’s a virtue signal and it’s hypocritical, all you’re doing is turning potential allies into your biggest critics. I hate people using “b-but wouldn’t it hurt it you was black, or disabled and someone said things that were racist or ableist” stop, people in these communities do not care and you’re using them as shields for your own views. Regardless of this, she will get a big chunk of the profits. Secondly, I never said I don't agree with people playing the game, I actually agree with your points about people not having the same energy when it comes to things like for example primark using child labour, or Coca Cola greenwashing etc, lots of companies do problematic things that harm people and the environment, and people still support them by buying their products. I never said I agree, just that I sympathise with it. Also I don't use twitter lol, seems kinda toxic to me. And I wouldn't say I'm acting like a psychopath online just by saying 'yeah I get why people are upset'. If anything, that's the opposite of psychopathy, it's being compassionate and trying to understand other people's feelings. And I think it's dodgy to paint trans people out as villains for being a bit annoyed about the whole situation, and unfortunately it is comparable to when people paint out other minorities to be the villains when they are actually the victims, and it's a tactic that clearly works, which is why you often see people like trump trying to spin that narrative too. Thirdly, I disagree with the way you said 'no one' who's black, disabled etc cares about transgender people because actually a lot of transgendered people are black or disabled themselves. And I'm disabled and I care about transgender people (would be a bit weird if I didn't seeing as I am a trans guy lol). I only used being black as an example because I was basing it off of my friend who is actually black and trans, she's a black trans woman so she faces all kinds of discrimination. She said something similar to me when I mentioned the HasanAbi situation (not sure if you're familiar but essentially he was gonna stream the game to raise money for a trans charity and he got some backlash for it, people suggested that he instead play a game by a trans person or something). Basically she disagrees with me and she said to me imagine being black and seeing racist people get so much praise, and she said she reckons people would take it a lot more seriously and I said yeah fair enough. So that's why I used her point cos I do sympathise with her in that regard. I don't really care if people play the game even though I'm trans cos I know it's not an indication of someone's views or morals, so ultimately we both agree so idk why you got kinda mad at me lol (or that's what it seems like anyway, hard to tell when it's online)
