Just a tip, there is a slight glitch... that allows you to use the talent dodge, without the talent... press dodge and L1 (item wheel) at same time ( press dodge slightly earlier and you will use the white light dodge

In case anyone doesn’t know, SELL ALL OF YOUR GEAR except for what is currently equipped. You can press square on PS or X on Xbox to change the look of that gear to any other gear piece you have picked up even if you’ve sold it already. You keep the skins for all gear you pick up they are just somewhat hidden on the menu

If you cast revelio and hear the ‘chime’, you are near a field guide page. This can help you know if you’re going in the right direction!

Unless you're in Hogwarts, in which case you'll hear the chime even if the page is in another room. But that's mostly at the start when you're surrounded by pages. So it's a good thing to keep in mind as you knock out a lot of the collecting.

3:35 it absolutely does tell you about stupefy. During my tutorial battle with the knight statues after successfully using protego 3 times a popup showed up saying holding Triangle while using protego successfully would cause a Stupefy counter spell and doing extra damage to stunned enemies

TIP: If getting a beast for the 1st time, get both genders so you wont have to go back and get the remaining one that will be required in the future quests. Also get the level 3 alohomora before explorating and getting chests. Sell ur picked up gears and used the money made to buy all the Tomes and Scrolls spells!

OK... have to issue a correction. You state that the game does not tell you about holding Triangle to counter and Stupefy... it actually DOES tell you, it's part of the fight against the knights in the intro. That's the problem with all these early review tip/trick videos. All the creators are in such a rush to push out content that they literally skip everything just to get to the end of the game before the other guy does. It's gonna take about a month or two before somewhat decent content that's informative AND correct starts coming out. Happens every time.

Also with the wall symbol puzzles in the school, if you look at the wall around the door, the symbols are in order of the numbers starting from 0 so that helps as well, just looking at the wall and counting up from 0 from the first symbol on the left 😁

Solving the puzzle door numbering system was easier as we software engineers always count from 0 and not 1, hence the puzzle made sense right away. I see why the developers added this tweak, hence as a fellow game dev, kudos 🙂

Don’t know if this will get seen but cast revelio then cast ackio for the flying pages you don’t have to aim as long as you have line of sight on the page you cast one then the other it’ll auto pull the page u can do this on ground pages but not as useful

For the stupify counter you can just turn off the camera targeting setting and turn down camera acceleration…it allows the combat to flow like Arkham knights you can counter and cast at whomever because the attack will go out from the direction you are pointing the character rather than what the camera is centered on. Trust me it’s a whollllle lot better

So i just learned that if you start then exit the Daedalian key cabinets then start it again the key will nearly immediately cross the keyhole so you can just force it after starting its a little harder on hard but it makes it much easier. Oh and also if you jump while in stealth its faster if you wanna save a talent and not get human demiguise.

Each of the animals around the door are in clocwise from bottom left, numbered 0-9 but if you get stuck, look at the number of protrusions each has, ie unicorn =1 Spider =8 etc

The puzzle doors are easy. Just click one of them for the first symbol then go over to the other and click it then see if door opens. If it doesn't then go back to the second one and change the symbol and try the door after changing to each one. If it doesn't open go back to the first symbol and just click once to the next symbol and then go back to the second and try all of the symbols out with the door. Rinse and repeat. Just don't change both randomly. I know it is confusing but you can open any of the doors in under a minute.

This has been on my mind as well. I thought upgrading a piece of gear would scale it to your level. So if you got a legendary early at low level, upgrading it would bring back up to your current level range but that is not the case. So it would seem legendaries you get before reaching max level are purely for transmog and once out leveled highest amount of gold when sold. So my gameplan now is every medium chest size and up to save scum it until a legendary shows for the extra gold. I'm still waiting to see if someone discovers an op gold glitch, like the gold bar one in RDR2.

You don’t need a cheat sheet, as others have said, the symbols surrounding the door are in order. 0 is the lower left one, 9 is the lower right one.

Example 1 + spider + ? = 10. Spider is 8 plus 1 = 9... 10 - 9 = 1 so the right creature is unicorn.

No, it's craftable. It makes treasure chests appear on the minimap for one in-game day, saving you from casting Revelio for them.

Those Daedalian Keys are pretty annoying, I hope you can use Arresto Momentum on them when you get it? Because you can't do it on reaction, and I don't see a real pattern to their flying. So if the spell works, great! If not, tips please? Lol. I only got lucky on the first one.

I stare at the keyhole and slap as soon as it passes the outer rim of the lock. It actually gives you until it crosses the entire face of the lock mechanism. Kinda, jedi reflexes. But, I've gotten every one that I've come across.

There's a barber in Hogsmeade where you can change your hair cut and color, your freckles/moles/scars, eyebrows and eye color. You can't change the shape of your face or skin color.

I would try to level up as much as possible without using chests...get items at higher levels.

It doesn’t matter. There is so much gear in this game. Plus you can buy legendary gear when you’re at max level. You also can sell all the useless gear for gold.

@@theguylevi you’re going to be equipping the higher gear all the time. I haven’t unlocked the loom yet but that’s when you can actually upgrade and add perks to your gear. It’s kind of the same thing as ac odyssey.

@Mysterious Good to know. I might go the opposite then, and aim for as few used items as possible, and aim for rhe best boosts. I just hate it when I have no reason to get attached to items...makes em not exciting.

Most annoying thing Is if your inventory is full and you open a legendary chest you just flat out don't get the item and you can't delete an item and reopen it . Very dumb
