I give props to the devs for making the killing curse an insta kill spell regardless of whatever level the enemies are while giving it a long cool down to balance it out. It would be annoyingly immersion breaking to see enemies tanking the killing curse purely because they are level higher than you.

Funnily enough it's not actually an instant kill. I tried it on the boss ranrok doesn't do any damage and I tried it on the exclusive quest box boss it only took one line off his health so I had to cast it 4 or 3 times for it to actually die and I tried it on the shop keeper women boss same thing had to cast it 3 times to kill her

You could chose the option "no one should know that curse" and still unlock Avada Kedavra, it's the way I did it. I just met Sebastian in the undercroft after the quest and he taught me.

I played the last of his missions yesterday and instinct made me pick “nobody should know that curse” after he just said to meet him in the undercroft without showing me that’s when I was like wait nooooooo then turned my Xbox off🤣 been watching videos all day trying to figure out if I can still get the curse so hell yeah! One of the fastest ways to kill inferius is to use confringo, incendio, the yellow/ gold transformation spell and bombardo 3 of the 4 do fire damage and the transformation spell can transform enemies into explosive barrels if you have that talent unlocked

I am a little confused as to why the Cruciatus Curse works on Inferi in this game. The books clearly establish that they can't feel pain since they're already dead. We know this because Harry tries using the Sectumsempra curse on them, but they don't even recoil when he does.

Actually, if you miss the dialogue option to unlock the curse you can still unlock it. Just go back to the Undercroft and Sebastian should be there and will teach you it.

@@bboss9695 Honestly I'm not entirely sure what the requirements are, but I had done this quest, missed the opportunity to get the curse and then after doing some other stuff I went to the Undercroft and he was there. I already had the first two curses, but I am pretty sure you can learn all 3 from him if you miss them in the quests.

Only just got the game on switch and completed it but had previously seen clips on KZbin of this storyline, and I was so shocked when playing for myself that this was a SIDE QUEST! I was so much more invested with Sebastian, Anne and ominis than I was with the main ancient magic stuff haha. I wanted to learn the killing curse so I chose the ‘everyone should know it’s dialogue, but didn’t agree that Sebastian’s only option was to kill soloman. When MC started saying ‘you had to do it, you were brave’ I was yelling “no No NO, shut up me!”

I wonder how A.K would have done in the final quests of the main story? Like against Harlow and so on... It's kinda funny however, kill hundrets of goblins as well as wizards by burning them, crushing them, cursing them and what not and It's completely fine. Some people have tried it with some the bosses in the exclusive DLC and couldn't or it would only take a bar of health. This is super smart to do so you can't cruise through the main story.
