Im a vietnamese, not a Hoi an’s local, from my place we share a saying that goes: “ do not eat in a big, fancy and Well-known restaurant, eat where you see a lot of people sitting outside”. This is because i believe when a place gets famous for their food, then they would have tons of people coming and buying their stuffs. And gradually, they lost their way of making the good food like the way they used to do. It’s like an artist becoming famous, then he has to make a lot of paintings that indeed, drawn by him, but lose charm and just mediocre. That being said, there’s here and there. I’m not saying “avoid big restaurants and choose smaller, cheaper ones !” ‘cause you paying for what you eat , money does make differences. Im not a food lover so whenever i feel like eating out somewhere, i’ll be like, pray to be in a place that has good food. 😄😄 Enjoy your journey !

Oh ... Hoi An! It has been dubbed the city of lantern, the most beautiful city in the world, the Venice of the East, a living museum, a fairy tale destination ... Whatever it is, Hoi An is "one of those places that conjures up daydreams of an ideal far away land - exotic, beautiful, and seemingly right out of a fairy tale." The beautiful, enchanting, colorful town makes you feel like you are taking a step back in time. As the moment you step into Hoi An, it feels like a book of ancient fairy tales came to life. The ancient city is breathtaking by day, but it really comes to life by night when the streets are lit up with beautiful lanterns. It's quite spectacular to see in person. Noted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, Hoi An is a magical place. Just go and see this place . . . there is no equal globally.

Banh Mi is one of the most comfort food for every generation of Vietnamese. You can barely see the Banh Mi stalls in front of schools in Vietnam in the early morning. Normally the school starts from 7.00 am so we need to wake up earlier and mom sometimes can not be able to prepare breakfast so we come to school and get in line for Banh Mi or Xoi man (Vietnamese sticky rice) aka 'Flash food' (take around 1-2 min to prepare from the stalls!!!). The base of banh mi includes the baguette, the Pâté, butter, vietnamese ham and veggie. Every stall has their own secret of ingredients and unique flavours like smoky grilled BBQ pork, meatball, jambons,... The way to make Banh Mi is so customized and there is no banh mi is more authentic than the other one. Love your travel vlog, I am a fan now 😁

03:30 I don't think it's a good Vietnamese traditional banh mi, even if Anthony Bourdain recommends it. There are many kinds of banh mi, but the traditional one should not have grilled pork or too much pork fats like that. It should be like "banh mi Huynh Hoa" restaurant in Saigon, with multiple layers of meats and taste balanced.
