It's 1939, the Soviets aren't exactly ready to fight a war with Germany yet considering their Industry is not yet up to date with 1941 and the Battle of Khalkhin Gol and Numerous Border conflicts are still occuring so they will be so f*cked if they fight Germany now.

Btw if the Austrohungary is made into personal union, Germany annexes only Austria, and Hungary becames independent. I have the same mod but with more detailed autonomies (Khiva, Bukhara, Poland, Finland etc)

It doesn't - the event only does the three Austrian states. Italy giving Austria Tirol means it's an uncored state in the event of an Anscluss. Still, you'd expect those extra factories to come into play.

@@JustASlavicMapper yeah, kinda inaccurate, but I think some of these things, if not all, would actually happen if WWII played out with WWI borders: 1) Serbia would unite with Montenegro since they have a long history of cooperation and unions, and most inhabitants of both nations supported unification, as well as the governments I believe. 2) Bulgaria would invade Serbia to "reclaim" "their" lost territories since they had a dispute with Serbia over Vardar Macedonia (they also wanted the Greek part of Macedonia, especially the strategic city of Thessaloniki, and that's why they invaded Greece in the video) 3) Italy would maybe invade (I don't know a lot about this though) Montenegro to gain more influence in the Adriatic Sea, like it already did by invading Greece and Albania. Also weird that Italy was actually succesful in it's invasion of Greece, but maybe that is because they waited for Bulgaria to join the Axis so they could attack together since, as mentioned earlier, Bulgaria wanted the Vardar Macedonia territories from Greece and Serbia. If somebody knows more about this subject feel free to correct me or add onto this. I love to discuss alternate history

Soviet Union is also much much stronger, while germany gets a big austria thats really all they get. Soviet Union gets finland (avoiding winter war) baltics (avoiding baltic annexation) and most of Poland (avoiding war there too). You look at the German AI they barely make it past Kiev. Also not shown but maybe some material gets caught up in the colonies that the UK will absolutely eat up

Honestly, I think this is the most interesting timelapse of HOI4 I have seen so far! It was insanely historical accurate and incredibly thrilling to watch. I would have guessed, that Germany wins this easily, after they pushed through the Maginot line and pushed the Soviets way back. I also thought they were going to destroy the Allied landing. And also the big Anschluss was very funny. I totally forgot that Germany does this some times. ;) It could however been averted with the right setup. Nevertheless, this was incredible :)

AI Germany is so intensely disappointing. It seems like they literally never win in any scenario. If you had given me this save file at any point from like 9:00-10:40, it's basically the 1944 Endseig scenarios, both of which I have beaten before. When you take Moscow as Rexist Belgium you kinda realize how fundamentally shit this game's AI is at literally everything lmao

Also it doesn't matter that they don't have cores on a lot of their land since they already have HALF OF EUROPE when they anschluss Austria. That and the fact that it is incredibly easy to win WITHOUT controlling nearly as much land at the beginning of the game is the reason why this is not only dumb that they lost but also frustrating

Great Video and I like that you made that many subtitles but the german subtile has a small misstake: It says "um den Anschluss an Österreich vorzubereiten", which would mean that Germany would become a part of Austria. The correct way would be "um den Anschluss Österreichs vorzubereiten".
