Haven't tested this but in theory should be able to do same with FX Audio SQ3-Dac which is identical to D10s spec wise, same dac chip, xmos, etc. SQ3 also has a pre-amp volume control remote which some folks find helpful. I paid $90 USD for the SQ3, it self powers from my Android tablet with usb C to usb B cable and runs great with no issues. Thanks for your video!

Nice! Yes I always find it interesting how you get different sound signatures from all these products even though it’s all going through USB and then out through the digital optical toslink or coaxial digital output. People always say “digital is digital Zeros and Ones” that’s true for the transfer of music but it’s the input and output stage that changes how things sound. That’s why I always laugh when people say digital is digital and it’s going to all sound the same lol

I always prefer the coaxial digital output and it is capable of 24/192 where as the optical toslink is only 24/96 which is still great.

And can you control the volume in such setup via car native volume controller and not only the NEXT/PREV track from the wheel?

As long as you have a director, conductor etc… With your DSP You can put that to a certain level and then just use the volume on your steering wheel controls or OEM volume knob.

How do you update the camera kit. Can you send me an Amazon link. I purchased the periodic audio made in USA lightning to USB C. Trying to run iPhone qobuz or tidal straight to Hires OTG port on the STEG mdsp ver 2 on one car and the helix v12 with usb expansion

@@VeneraSGF I heard they had issues with the USB but never tried it myself but also heard the quality isn’t as good as going optical or coaxial digital into the Helix DSP’s. Since the latest IOS 18 update I have had issues with the SMSL PO 100 Pro which is similar to the Topping D10S.

@@CarAudioHorizons Hi my friend, it is just the right choice, M17 is a killer machine and you will be so happy with it. I thought about it but my budget did not allow me but I am very happy with the Plus LTD version, I will use it with my Mosconi system. I have Mosconi A-class for areospace tweeter and an A-class for areospace midrange, for midbas I use the amplifier Mosconi zero 3 and onther zero 3 for Mosconi-subs zero10 2 pieces and DSP. is Mosconi Areospce 8to12. I apologize as I do not want you to feel that I am presumptuous, it's just because we have a mutual interest in caraudio so I feel it is very interesting to exchange our hobbies even abroad. I will be waiting for your review of the M17 with great interest, congratulations again on your new great toy. Take care of you brother and greetings from Sweden.

@@high16200 That’s an excellent system as I’m looking into the Mosconi Zero 4 to replace my AS200.2 when I install my Audio Frog GB25’s. I have heard nothing but great things on the Gladen aerospace speakers and subs. I love the look of them as well! The Fiio M11 Plus is and excellent DAP and does pretty much everything you need in a DAP! You should do a video of your system as I would be interested in seeing all your equipment.

Hi Steve, I hope I'm right about your name. Mosconi zero 4 is a brilliant amplifier, it was one of Henning Gladen's favorite amplifier but unfortunately he died at a very young age only 45 years old, he had a great passion for hifidelity in caraudio and we were good friends through the years today is his widow running business so Mosconi zero 4 has high-class sound more dynamic than A-Class. Our dealer in Sweden also says very good things about the Audiofrog product and especially the speakers are fantastic. According to the staff at Fiio, the M17 is a very powerful device and it is more meaty and digs very deep, deep down so that you are very overwhelmed by the sound. I'm not good at uploading videos on youtube and being fluent as you are, except that English is not my first language to be confident on youtube so I will post some pictures for you when I get my car back at the end of March . Btw, I'm retired old man and I'm turning 68 in July but I've had a passion for caraudio since 1980 and I never quit. I will wait for your review Take care of you brother.

@@high16200 It’s Dave, and It would have been nice to see Mosconi update the Zero line when they brought out the Pro line as the Zero line is well over 10 years old now. I live the Pro line but they just don’t have the power that the Zero line and AS line have.

Hi, thanks for the great review, Have a question about DSD file. Have you try to play DSD files from DAP to D10S then out to DSP? Coz now my problem is I can not play dsd file in my dap and send out by SPDIF or usb out to DSP. It has no sound. My DAP is Ibasso 240

Most DSP’s won’t play DSD files through the digital connections.

@@thanuchpongtatiyaratanporn1038 I can only comment on my system and the only way to get DSD to play is through the analog outputs but when it gets to the DSP it’s going to be down sampled to 96 as that’s as high as the Helix DSP Ultra goes. The Brax sample rate is higher at 192. I don’t think there is any DSP that will do DSD native. I have some DSD music but I soon switched to just downloading in Flac for that reason when I purchased music off of HD Tracks and Acoustic Sounds. But that was way back then when hi res came out. I just downloaded lossless on Apple Music now or download Tidal. I hear zero difference from DSD, Flac, Lossless etc… as it’s all about the original recording and if that’s crap then any other version is going to be crap as well.

You can use this anywhere
