The bell = the supernatural sound made by the tokens, called by the ones being prosecuted. sepulchral tone = referring the number of dead among the prosecuted either been killed or died in sea and neglected by Davy Jones is countless. sail to home = pirate lords to go to Shipwreck Cove.

As for the "queen", Calypso, I can't say I wouldn't have done the same in their place. I feel like they shouldve just sung it as a group. Because that is the purpose of the song. This is for everyone. All those who have have felt the hunger, the thirst, the disease, the oppression, desperation, uncertainty. The poverty. This was for all those who have suffered, still are and will be. It was for many people that are united by their life experiences. When they are sung together, that is where the true power of this song comes from. It felt like they took that power away once they just brought in the soloists. Where is the unity? Where's the voice of the masses? Where's the voice of hope through the bottomless pit of the dark?

To be honest, I was a bit rude about the voices. That guy's first lines were just so toned deaf. I get the lyrics there were originally spoken in a soft tone, but that's it- a soft tone! He 'sung' it like Ulquiorra would or something. Besides that, and the multiple accounts, it wasn't too bad.

My guess of the meaning: The Brethren Court (King and his men) binding Calypso ("Tia Dalma") into human form. Man owns the sea, and go where ever they want, freely Wwith the pieces of eight (keys to the cage), and the Devil to pay (Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. The actual song wouldn't be this loud. These people are singing the whole way through. Unlike in the movie, one of the guards tell someone that the pirates are singing, so the song get suddenly quiet but then booms back up to volume. So even be glad they kept on going with the song. And plus, as I said, "Can u sing it better bruh?".
