Interesting comparison. I have not yet found a marathon racing shoe that suits me better than the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 but the Hoka does sound intriguing but, like Nick has said, the weight puts me off somewhat. So a comparison between the Adidas and the Hoka would be interesting.

Great comparison! If Alphafly didnt exist I would run my marathons in CieloX from now on. Amazing feeling,huge bouncy, great protection after long runs and fast, so fast!!

Reviews for the Cielo had me so nervous I would be shoving my wide width foot in there. I had zero issues getting my foot in. I thought there was plenty of space. Laces are trashy, yes, but double knotting it like always kept them staying put.

Could you do a comparison between the Hoka Cielo X1 and Puma Fast R Nitro Elite 2? From what one hears and sees, these two seem to be similiar in their set up and performance....

Intrigued by the Cielo x1. I took it for a little trot after the London Winter run this weekend, and it’s very bouncy and quite aggressive, but holding it in hand vs my Saucony endorphin pro 3’s, it’s noticeably heavier in hand. I’d love to see you guys compare it against the endorphin pro 4

Thanks for the heel locking tip: Just had my first run in the SC Elite v4 and was on the verge of rubbing my heels by the end! Such a frustrating issue when the bog standard 1080s don’t cause any issues, especially for the elevated price.

the v4 elite heels are dreadful , still got scabs on my heels 3 weeks later , such a shame , the previous 3 versions were fine

Speaking of bad laces on good shoes, my pair of Asics Novablast 3s came with one lace that was 5 inches shorter than the other. So I had to replace them.

Alphafly is the best. Vaporfly is second. Rocket X2 is third. Basically anything else is alright but not on those three shoe's levels.
