The first snow we've been waiting for: ❄️
I want to dress warmly and enjoy shoveling snow and working in winter!
My favorite drink these days is sweet cocoa and apple tea!
The apples floating in the tea are squishy and delicious at the end.
I hear that winter has arrived not only in Hokkaido but also in the whole country. Let's all keep our three necks firmly protected and stay warm and dry!

My cat and I have been enjoying your videos while I have my morning coffee. He sits on my lap and watches quite intently with me. He really seems to enjoy them as well. :) We live rurally in Ontario, Canada, at 44 degrees north latitude, less than one degree north of Hokkaido, so we have similar winters. I also 'cover my necks' to keep warm, and I also often wear a belly/kidney wrap in winter. It really helps. For leg warmers, I often use the sleeves from old sweaters, and for wrist warmers I often use old socks, with the foot part cut off. They both work really well. I also made a snug belly wrap from an old sweater. This way, we can keep warm without having to keep the whole house too warm. It takes a lot of energy to keep warm, both the house and the body, so anything we can preserve, helps. Thanks for your beautiful videos. I look forward to seeing your area covered in white as well. By the way, I almost forgot; I lived in Kyoto for 8 years, so your videos are particularly lovely for me to watch (and I also understand cold winters!). :)

はじめまして！わたしも移住道民で今年が２回目の冬です。うちは夫が道産子であったかい部屋が好みらしく、部屋の温度が23〜25℃になるようストーブ設定されてます😂おでかけ先も暖房が効きすぎレベルで暖かいので、裏起毛のお洋服を手放しました、、笑

I love stuffed baked squash- roast halved squash starting cut side down in a pan with some water for about 30 minutes. In the meantime sauté some seasoned ground pork, mixed sliced mushrooms and onions - a bit of garlic if you like. After 30 minutes pull out the squash, flip it over, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix a bit of grated Parmesan cheese in the meat mixture and place it in the center of the squash. Top with a bit more cheese. Put it back in the oven for another 30 minutes. When you take it out of the oven, let it cool for about 10 minutes so the squash doesn’t burn your mouth.
