This video shows Lake Kussharo, the largest caldera lake in Hokkaido,
Visit the nearby active volcano Mt. Io.
At Mt. Io, you can see the white smoke and sulfur crystals coming out of the fumaroles up close.
At Lake Kussharo, there is a sand bath where hot springs come out when you dig the sandy beach,
I enjoyed making my own open-air bath.
About Mt. Iou

Mount Io is an active volcano in eastern Hokkaido.
It means "naked mountain" in Ainu language.
Volcanic smoke erupts from the surface of the mountain,
There is a smell of sulfur all around.
It has an altitude of 512 meters and is located near Lake Mashu and Lake Kussharo.
Mt. Io has a history of flourishing with sulfur mining during the Meiji period.
Railways were laid to transport mines,

屈斜路湖へは，子供の頃に2回行きました。砂湯から和琴半島よりの辺りに陸上自衛隊が「青少年キャプ村」をやっていて，2回ともそこに泊まりました。 ボートで沖にも出ましたが，屈斜路湖は水深が浅く，子供なりに結構沖に出ても深さ1mくらいだったような記憶があります。

硫黄山😂摩周湖には何回も行ってるに😅中々硫黄山行かれ無かったのですが5月行きました😂今は次何処に行こうか地図見て楽しんでます💗
