You can't listen to soundtracks like these not even in the best movies! It's been over 25 years since the first time I saw ken's saga but I remember these soundtracks and what I felt when I listened to these like if it was yesterday. I think all people of my generation can understand what I mean! Nothing can be compared to a masterpiece like this, not the shit that nowadays tv broadcast for sure! i'd say hokuto no ken had a very unique and above the cut soundtrack even for back then, the amount of production and love that went into it was one of a kind

The TV series would have never been the same without its poweful music. In fact, the graphic style left a lot to be desired at times, especially throughout the endless Shin arc, only to be improved by the final showdown between Shin and Kenshiro (finally), and going to and fro from then on, with quality increasing and paving its way to Hokuto No Ken 2 (when it's plot that falters this time) . Without the background music, it would have been a lot worse. Then again, the great plot from the orginal manga was there anyway to save the day (up to Raoh's defeat anyhow).
