Hold conditioning is not a complicated process, but it is one that requires your ability to read the dog, patience, and consistency. Hopefully, this episode of the DogBone podcast will help shed some light on the process for those that are struggling!
In this conversation, we hit on the difference between hold conditioning and force fetch, and some common misconceptions of the hold conditioning process.
As always, thanks for tuning in and keep the questions and feedback coming.

Always love hearing your perspective. I think that there are pros and cons to every method. I was reluctant to force fetch, but was reassured and mentored by a couple pros. I made sure to pay attention to my dogs reactions and body language and it was a very positive outcome for us. My dog connected the dots and now drives hard and recalls with urgency rather than loping back to the line. She seems to have flipped a switch , and even without a collar on still is on her game. which tells me she wants to do it. When we added birds back to training the fire was kicked up a notch

Always enjoy the training videos and the podcasts. Very good information for me as my Boykin is 8 months old now and I’ll be hold conditioning her soon.
