The annoying thing is this is literally the perfect summary for prop gameplay. You climb for long enough to have a family with 3 kids you get into a dogfight probably win, then encounter a plane with a better engine who doesn't do anything with the extra power and just runs away, you eventually kill him. Then you realise there's a bomber literally flying into space, you proceed to destroy ground targets for the next 7 years, then the battle ends.

I've been using W and S for throttle and Shift and Ctrl for full pitch since starting the game in 2014 (i think it might have used to be the default config?), and it's always bizarre to see them reversed.

you should definitely bind manual engine controls, if not just for the radiators, saves you risking cooking your engine and lets you WEP a lot more

Maybe I am wrong, it's been awhile... But I swear early on, would have been 2012-13, realistic battles was like the same flight model as arcade but without lead indicators? I can't recall what the spawn situation was. I just don't remember noticing any difference in the flight model back then. Anyway, I think realistic flight models with limited (2-3) respawns, air spawns for all, and no lead indicators would be based. Nice middle point between the chaotic free for all of arcade and the boredom and frustration of RB.

Ok I have my throttle as W for max power and S for min power so this absolutely gave me whiplash as I kept thinking "Why is this nugget saying cutting your engine power = win" for the entirety of the video, then remembered that people have differing binds. I have my max pitch set to my shift and control settings.
