If you see brothers (or any siblings) in a band, 9 times out of 10 the whole family has a music/entertainment background. ACDC, Van Halen, Black Crowes, the Winter Brothers, Lynyard Skynyrd, Jackson 5, Carpenters, the list goes on...... Are all great examples of this.

ACDC doesn’t know how to talk lightly. If they are there, you and everybody in a 5 mile radius will know it. The voice in front is Brian Johnson’s (almost) natural voice. Some of the raspiness comes from being a smoker. This is my all time favorite band

You watch movies? You see Ironman? There's where you know it from. Back in Black was the very first song played in the MCU as AC/DC was chosen to be Tony Starks goto for backing tracks. The whole Ironman2 soundtrack is AC/DC tracks, beginning with Shoot to Thrill Also, for the record, Back in Black is the third highest selling album in History, behind The Eagles and Thriller by Michael Jackson. Admittedly album sales is no longer a useful measure, so they will hold that position in history for ever!

AC/DC are basic hard rock, and haven't really changed their sound or ethic since they debuted in Australia in 1975... came to the UK in 1976, America by 1977... Brothers Angus Young (lead guitar) and (the late) Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar) brought AC/DC to success with lead singer Bon Scott. In 1979, AC/DC had a gold-selling record in America - 'Highway to hell'... They were working on music for 'Back in black' in early 1980 when tragedy hit them hard. Bon Scott was found dead in London, after a night of heavy drinking and passing out in a friend's car. Despite being devastated, AC/DC got a new singer Brian Johnson and recorded the 'Back in black' album, dedicating the black cover and the music to the memory and spirit of the late Bon Scott... Thankfully, the album became a huge hit by late 1980, initially selling over 10 million copies and making AC/DC a major rock band worldwide. Subsequent AC/DC albums after 'Back in black' ('Flick of the switch' in '83... 'Fly on the wall' in '85) did not sell well... but the single 'Thunderstruck' in 1990 made AC/DC a huge name again, as that album "The Razor's edge" would sell 5 million copies. AC/DC carried on past 2000 and in 2008, they had another #1 record on the US charts - 'Black Ice'... Sadly, it would be guitarist Malcolm Young's last AC/DC record - he was diagnosed w/ dementia and retired in 2013... he passed away in 2017. AC/DC released the 'Power up' album in 2020 in his memory.

Love this reaction. Peptobislozenge! 😆 AC/DC "BIG GUN" is amazing! I wanted to suggest a song by the Queen Miss Aretha Franklin. It's "Nessun Dorma" she performed it at the Grammys for Luciano Pavarrotti because he was sick and unable to perform. She stepped in at the last minute and sang the hell out of that song! Watch the Grammys Live 1998 performance. You will be blown away. Aretha was a beautiful, talented amazing lady. Rest her soul.

Absolutely amazing performance by Aretha Franklin. It is what made me fall in love with opera. Beware there are some opera snobs that totally criticize her performance... but IMO what she did was nothing short of genius. She even sang in a key that she had never rehearsed it in.

I’m with you on the vocal cord abuse, couple years ago went to see Foo Fighter, ( react to The Pretender, please). Dave Grohl the lead singer challenged the audience to scream the songs with him if they could, he stated, “I do this for 3+ hours every night, I’ll outlast all you mother duckers”. (Dave is famous for his love of cussing). I couldn’t speak for 2 weeks after that concert. It was absolutely worth it. Not seeing AC/DC live is one of my 3 missed artists/groups I will always regret.

Yes. This song is indeed fire. Possibly the grooviest hard rock song ever recorded. Near perfection. And also, yes... Nobody knows how Brian Johnson sings like that. There are much better vocalists out there, of course, and some of them sound kinda/sorta like this, but... I've yet to hear anybody who can quite match the screech/growl with as much raspy bass as this dude. And this song came out in 1979!
