She's a nice set of wheels. And contrary to comments it is built in Aussie. And holden is an aussie brand. Ford (Falcon) is also a aussie brand. Perhaps they could do a remake XYGT? We need more "good" cars on the road. Remakes of classic styles. Look at the names that have come out of the ashes now. Z, Mini, Cosmo, Monaro, Daytona, Commando, Beetle, GT40..... all getting good sales becuase the respark something.

Here in Australia, Holden :> and Ford :< are competeing companies (like Coca Cola and Pepsi). They are really competitive and turn out some great stuff (Holden Efijy and Torana concepts and commodore and other road cars) (ford with the Flacon GT,etc.) So if you come here my friend, ur stuffed. Your either a Holden fan or a Ford fan

Holden has built some amazing cars in the past. I know the late model GTO came from GM Holden in Australia ans the frame for the new Camaro did as well. I bet the GTO would have done better if it didn't look like a grand prix. If they found a way to sell this, I would sell my house to buy it.

@The911SONIC11 жыл бұрын
when you think of LEDs yes they cost more but cheaper in the long run. say the standard globe lasts 60,000hours but cost $5 LEDs last for ever and cost $15. spend $80 on normal globes a year when you could spend only $15 and never have to spend money again on lights. im just using that as an example

Chaps' Unlimited Yeah, this must be the most beautiful car on this planet. There were some head boffins at GMH that actually wanted to put this car into production. But the bean counters said no. It's a shame, I reckon they've had no worries selling them all over the world.

on the contrary, the company is owned by americans, the only thing american about 70% of new holdens (commodore) are in fact australian designed, funded, assembled in australia, with exceptions of the bottom end of engines and the gear boxes/drive line

Holden is dam well Australian. They started as a saddlery in Australia in the 1850's. they only started to have any dealing with GM when they started to make cars because they needed funding. Just because Holden is owned by GM today it does not make them American. That would be like saying that Vauxhall is not British. If anything they are australian as well becauae most of there cars are rebadged Holden's. Holden is 100% Australian.

To be honest, I don't believe you. If you have a picture of said car that was supposedly built and was ripped off by Holden, then by all means, share it with us so then we have a look. Just because they look almost the exact same, doesn't mean stuff all!

go to wikipedia and look up HOLDEN its a G.M.(general motors) subsidiary since 1930.like Lamborghini is to V.W., or Lexus is to Toyota it may be a Australian car company,you wont find them in the U.S.(the cars are made in Australia) but its kinda like saying the toyota i drive is American because it WAS made in America. the 6.0 L engine in that car of yours is indeed American.its not PURE Australian,sorry.

Not a nice thing to say really..did you know that when Sir Lawrence Hartnett first approached the heads of GM in the US in the mid 40's with his idea of setting up and building a car from scratch here in Australia they flatly refused at first..wanting to just import vehicles from your country,assemble and sell them here..finally they gave him permission to do it but on the condition that they did not provide so much as a single penny towards the cost of setting up the manufacturing facilities..he had to do that on his own..fortunately our then Prime minister Ben Chifley got on board and between him and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia the funds were raised and so began a new era in Australian history..and once GM America knew the project had the go ahead and the money was available they then stepped back in and took control of the project..telling Lawrence and everyone how it should be done and what sort of car we should build...and then proceeded to take all the handsome profits that were being made from something they wanted nothing to do with in the first place..so stop blowing your horn...as an interesting little sideline to all this,Ford no longer makes cars here..but when our government was looking at new cars for the police force they sent some Mustangs for testing and they failed miserably in our conditions..especially the hot weather we have here.
