Probably better off with straight blacks on holderness coast for majority of fish although they would take your bait i just think worm only out fishes most baits.

My dad had blacks and yellow tails he’d dug the day before and still nothing

I've just started beach fishing, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Like you say wrong place wrong time is my issue I'm thinking, only go when I can get out regardless of the conditions. Size of that bait wow think that's where I'm going wrong been downsizing my baits just to get a bite off something but thinking go big or go home on at least one rod.
