Such excellent work. You're precise, careful and talented. You have the skills and heart of a master and deserve to be called a master. I was thinking that it might be possible to make the 'holdfast thumb-finger' non-slip by adding self-adhesive rubber discs, but it might be even better to glue leather onto the 'holdfast thumb-finger'. I wonder if it is possible to make a woodeen "toggle holdfast clamp" combination - I think it might be.

Ohyo56 as soon as I saw you bring out your box of cut offs I knew this was gonna be a good video. I also for the past 50 years I have been a wood worker and can appreciate your expertise , and I can't afford to but the wood I like but go straight to my cut off box too. I just made a new sled for my routers and love it! I like having ten fingers.....and bandages are expensive ...hahaha.....when my box is full I cut as many half inch thick pieces as I can and glue them together to make shelving or use for other projects. I just can't seem to throw them away, guess I'm just a wood pack rat ....hahahaha.....
@TachiOhyo565 жыл бұрын
Hello I'm the same as you, I can't afford to be expensive! The wood I always use for my work is a scraped hard Apiton pallet from my neighbor. And the tabletop used in elementary school is also used as material. It is very economical to support neighbors and friends. Maybe you and I are the same generation. I will continue to walk my life while enjoying my hobby woodwork as a hair salon. Of course with you ... Thank you

@@TachiOhyo56I'm 68 and recovering from throat cancer, the chemo and radiation has left me with neuropathy in my hands and feet and have damaged much of my body and brain that makes it a real challenge to do wood working which is my favorite thing as well as music where I play 10 instruments and teach music techniques to upcoming artists in my area of Florida. I'm going to get off my lazy butt and post to my You Tube channel which I haven't done in years. I only posted one video that I use with my ipad. My medical bills have left me poor and so if I want tools I go to the thrift and pawn shops here and buy tools and take them apart and fix them like new. I go to the cabinet shops here and some let me go through there dumpsters to get their scraps they throw away to do my projects. I love the video of you with the young lady, the young people here don't have patience to learn from us elderly and that saddens me. I have always loved the Asian culture and have absorbed much from it in living a calmer more sted fast mind to cope with an insane world. I love watching your videos and if I had money would travel to meet you and see your work in person. I learned at an early age instead of laughing at old tradesmen like other kids I wanted to learn from them and why I can do so much in my life. The doctors had to cut my ear drums to drain fluid which has left me legally deaf and so I can't hear my machines and have to be extra careful in what I do, and the video I posted was in my garage (shop ) while could still hear of my sharpening machine and decided to play one of my guitars to the rythm of it, it was funny as heck.

Hello thank you for your comment The oil I use is oil that is everywhere. It is a mixture of edible waste oil and olive oil, sesame oil, rice oil, lemon oil and some kerosene for household use. I do not know to me that this is correct ... Thank you See you

Hola. No entendí bien.
