Thank you for asking Kray about his religious background...Bone is one of the few acts in rap music that speak on Biblical scriptures.... when I first got into their music I gained a lot of comfort listening to them and it helped me feel more secure in my faith... it made me feel like I wasn't alone in my beliefs!💯

39:00 Krayzie Bone rapped on Art Of Noise’s Moments In Love many times in his career (Faces Of Death, Family Scriptures, Thug Mentality, Leathaface, and both versions of Freaks by Play-N-Skillz)… Always wondered if he was a big fan of them or if he was just madly in love with the sample!
@solidasarock06
@solidasarock06 Жыл бұрын
I'm so glad he asked about "It's all real" from the Art of War album. That song displayed Kray's full repertoire. Big Court is the only person who should interview Bone Thugs lol. You can clearly tell he's done his homework and knows more than the stereotypical Bone questions. There's waaaaay more to Bone than Crossroads, which is a classic of course, or the collaborations with Pac and Big, but most of their other interviews are so disrespectful because the interviewers lack depth in the questions asked.

Love this interview, it was serious and fun...Kray got to LAUGH...good medicine, great job. Great interview! Krayzie Bone is no doubt the greatest living rapper of all time! I have Pac at #1 but Kray is #2 GOAT! Krayzie has been consistent since the very time we heard him 30 plus years later. His versatility, flow, speed, harmonzing, his ability to use his voice as an instrument are all attributes that most rappers don’t have or don’t have the ability to do. He’s blessed us with so much great music that we grew up to and have made a part of our everyday lives. I’m so glad they went into depth about the Art of War which was damn ear a Krayzie bone solo album in terms of creativity and hook writing. That album was an absolute masterpiece. Neighborhood slang, it’s all real etc are still on my playlists today! Shout out to Court and Kray for providing us with a great interview

Thug Devotion song being a last minute thing and becoming a hit single is exactly what happened on E.99 Eternal with 1st of the Month. The album was complete and Dj Uneek had 1 more beat he wanted Kray to hear, Kray originally didn't wanna do another song for a completed album but Uneek convinced him to listen. He heard it and loved it, came up with the chorus with B. And it became their first hit off the Eternal album. Crazy how fate works.

Correct me if Im wrong, Weren't they about to go back to Cleveland for Christmas, but Uneek made the beat the night before and begged em to stay? Probably why that song sounds so authentic being they were in a Cleveland mindset

1:18:41 It's crazy that Bizzy didn't want to be on Notorious Thugs, but ended up having the coldest verse on there. The contrast from Biggie to Bizzy is too smooth. Stevie J made a timeless track...

Great interview Big Court. I love how you are grabbing each member individually to share their own thoughts and perspectives. I always loved that "Moments in Love" by Art of Noise as well. When I first heard him drop that on that on Mo Thugs Family Scriptures I never thought someone would be able to do that to a song and make it sound even more amazing. Then to hear it again on Thug Mentality and for him to set the bar even higher with that version was even crazier. He also used the same beat that Ken Dog used ("Playa In Me") on his Leathaface The Legends (Part 1) album which was "Smoke With me".

Thanks for all your hard work and giving the world a dope podcast for legendary artists to give their fans answers and some of the insight they're be looking for. Like everyone else said, keep it up with the great content and unique questions that most of these other interviewers doesn't normally provide for us. I'm not sure if you're planning on interviewing Wish Bone because, honestly, since he never release music, I don't think it would be that interesting, or what he would even talk about - for that matter. Maybe he can spend a few hours making excuses about why he haven't released a solo album in over 20 years? That would probably be more interesting than him talking about "motorcycles" and taking care of his family. 😂 It's all good, Wish. Don't trip. 😂😂😂

And u gotta put him on the spot and bust a real freestyle. Cuz he hasn’t done shit. We feel like the main reason he’s still in Bone it’s because he’s cousin with Lay n Flesh and loyalty. Everybody was rapping Wish’s verse from Mo Murda back the summer of 95. Drop that album Big Charles. ❤

Lol first time I remember hearing of Steve Lobel, I was in jail and we were watching some Million Dollar Match Maker show and he was trying to find the love of his life. I thought it was so cool when he mentioned BTNH! Must've been 2000 or something.

Definitely gotta have them back to go more in depth about how certain songs came about I was hoping you were going to do that with the resurrection album there’s a lot of dope songs on there that i would love to know the creative process to even to how the beats came about

@@Druhhhhh9905 I remember the first time I heard "The Righteous Ones", such a beautiful song. I've always loved the chorus too. One of Bone's best songs.

The mo murder song with moments of luv those congos your talking about are part of moments of love. Original moments of love is 11:00 and the 2nd version is called the quite storm version witch has the congo drums. The whole beat from mo thugs version is not cut or added its two different versions of moments of love. There is even a 3rd piano version. I've been a bone fan since 94 and I love the moments of love beat. I have all versions. Every version of moments of love is over long. And faces of death hell sent they used a sample of original moments of luv when the beat switches up. So mo murder from thug mentality is moments of luv original Murder mo from family scriptures is moments of luv 2 the quite storm version.
