In the midst of the hardest chapter of my life, can’t say I’ve read lyrics that hit closer to home.

"I learned from my flaws and I cut myself open Glued myself better; golden, unbroken Now all I have left is a handful of hope And a thousand laments that I can't leave unspoken" Those are some of the most beautiful, intricate, masterfully crafted lyrics the scene has ever seen. A magnum opus. An œuvre d'art.

“i’ll merge the man i was hoping i could be with the man that i am, the noble art of self destruction guiding my hand. I am a puzzle, i am a painting, i am a work of art in the making” these are in my top 5 lyrics of all time, they’re really saving me right now.

I'm a little late to the party here, but I just gotta say this album completely caught me off guard in the last couple days of 2023 and I ended up changing my aoty list to include this. Also these lyrics are extremely powerful and vulnerable and the melodies and vastness of ambience in their sound is to die for. I am in awe of this band.

This is the best album ending I've heard since Dead Poetic "Vices," which is high praise. This is gut-wrenching and emotionally raw in the best possible ways. It really hits home in the low times. "The noble art of self-destruction guiding my hand.. I'll merge the man that I was hoping I could be with the man that I know that I am." WOW

For me, this is the best song about trying to improve and being hard as hell on oneself to ever have existed and will ever exist. It's months from album release and I still frequently play it on repeat. Lucas means every word he sings more than anyone I've ever heard, those synths are gorgeous and the way the drums are simple and just gradually build in intensity through that middle to end section... I'm lost for words. It all works so well together. Many songs will come out but this song will remain a staple in my music enjoyment for the rest of my life.
