This performance is fucking sublime! Courtney looks and sounds absolutely flawless here and her cute baby doll look is my favourite! The whole band kicks ass, only wish Melissa wouldn't over-harmonise so much. Don't get me wrong, I think she's a fantastic artist in her own right but I prefer Kristen's harmonies to hers.

definitely I can't believe I slept on this song in the 90's but I love it so much now I can always see a lot of Pumpkins and Nirvana influence in her music she is such a great artist, how many females rock out like her as a front woman? Not many come close

+Mikedc100 As much music as I heard in the 90's, she also got past my radar. Yeah, I knew who she was but I never heard her music on regular and internet radio. The problem was we didn't have any websites like KZbin yet. That's the difference between now and then.

This is NOT the SNL performance 12/17/1994. Of that I am certain; I have the SNL25 Vol 2 CD, and compared the two. The SNL version is much better IMHO.

@splatterngore Actually you really need to do your research, Pretty on the Inside was produced by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth so technically sonic youth helped Hole too. And PIT did well on the the indie scene and was critical darling especially in England. Hole had generated enough buzz where madonna's label maverick wanted to possibly sign them b4 she got wit Kurt.but knowing Court there was no way in hell that wouldve happened Look up the Hole Rapido interview and see.

never seen this before! also, @mindinsolitude, Hole is my favorite band on earth but I agree with you- they sound fine together on the Celebrity Skin album, but in live performances (particularly where Melissa is doing backup on songs from Live Through This), their voices don't commingle well at all. Melissa's voice is much softer, Courtney's got a husky and raw voice that's not as "pretty" as Melissa's, if that's the right word. And I prefer Courtney's unpolished vocals, btw...
