in my opinion, Black Sabbath is one of those bands who's songs are very hard to cover because the original is so great (Like the beatles, floyd, led zepp etc...) But only PanterA can take a Sabbath song and make it better!!

my god, tony iommi is just a fucking genius! he influenced so many bands and music genres. just imagine, he is creator of heavy metal, of doom metal and of thrash metal! songs like paranoid, iron man or the whole heaven and hell album are the beginnings of heavy metal, songs like black sabbath or into the void are doom metal and songs like symptom of the universe or hole in the sky were the beginning of thrash metal! just awesome this man!!

I was fortunate to see Pantera open for Sabbath on the limited 25 date Black Sabbath Reunion Tour and... bowing on one knee the last thing that Phil said at the end of Pantera's set was "get ready to bow to the GOD THAT IS BLACK SABBATH" It was the 14th and final time that I had seen Pantera live and they were definately on their A game that night, but Sabbath made them look like amatuers, not an easy task! R.I.P. DIMEBAG!
