I gave this song to my pappy the day he died. I was 5, I'm 28 now, my pappy and I didn't have long, but he was the best one!! I remember when I came down those steps ans I saw everyone crying. I knew at 5, I had to say, Goodbye... And I didn't want too. But my pappy taught me, that god was in control and I know 5 is a young age, but I remember sitting on the step and my dad came over and sat with me, i looked at him and said, i love you daddy but pappys with god. And i hugged him. Kids are stronger then adults. And 23 years ago I still remember. But I remember seeing rhe hurt in my dada eyes. And I knew i had to be strong. And at 5 I was. I missed my pappy but was strong for my dad. Just remember the little ones are going to hold you together. I love You pappy. I will see u when the time comes. RIP PAPPY

My husband and I were planning a big wedding then decided to downsize it to immediate family.. however when it was going to be bigger.. I was going to dance with my Pawpaw for the daddy/daughter dance. We were going to dance to this song in memory of my nanny who at the time had been gone a year. Now pawpaw has passed as of October last year. My life will never be same without them here.

I'm sorry for your loss. My Grandma passed away the morning after my birthday. For my birthday, I got to hold her hand and tell her how much I loved her. She told me she loved me too. We held hands and talked for over an hour. I told her she couldn't pass away on my birthday and she said "I won't." And she didn't...she held on until 8am the next morning and passed in her sleep. Just remember, we will see them again one day. Until then, we live or lives like they would want us to.

I have a little cousin who was just 2 days away from 8 when our beloved grandma passed away, it broke his heart, it broke us all, us kids, we adored our grandma, she was our world, our best friend. She was second mother to me, she raised me. Yesterday marked 5 years, my little cousin turns 13 tomorrow, and I recently turned 30. Dear Mom, Its been 3 years since we got the news you passed away I still cry to this day I miss you so much don't understand how hard it was for me and your 4 boys and the rest of your huge family we love you so much. It's hard. I had four of my family members die last year and I was with two of them when they passed away. It's something that I don't want anyone to go through.
