होली क्यों मनाई जाती है?
हिरण्यकशिपु एक बड़ा राक्षस था, जिसका बेटा प्रह्लाद भगवान विष्णु का भक्त था।
परंतु उसकी पिता को यह अच्छा नहीं लगा। वह प्रह्लाद को मारने की कोशिश की, पर वह बच गया। फिर हिरण्यकशिपु ने अपनी बहन होलिका की मदद से प्रह्लाद को आग में जलाने का प्रयास किया, परंतु होलिका ही जलकर मर गई, प्रह्लाद को कुछ नहीं हुआ।
भगवान विष्णु ने हिरण्यकशिपु को मारा, और प्रह्लाद की भक्ति ने अधर्म को हराया।
