I actually glad to see traditional Lohe ki kadhai..... Honestly, this is the healthiest mithai. If you make it with sugar free, or Xilitol, it’ll have minimal calories and only the goodness of cashews. He didn’t even add ghee to this!

Thank you for sharing your recipe. I made 2 batches yesterday. For the first one, I followed your instructions to the T and cooked the syrup to a 2 string consistency. When I added the powdered cashew though, the mixture clumped up right away forming a ball instantly not allowing any time for the cashew to cook. Tasted ok though and I was able to roll it out and cut pieces. For the second batch, I added the cashew much sooner- within a couple of minutes of the syrup coming to a boil- and cooked the mixture till it smoothened out and I was able to cool it into a ball which was then rolled out and cut. Tasted amazing! Thanks for the tips, they were super helpful :-) Happy Diwali!
