I am saying it again, paint the inside of the fireplace black, I have a faux mantle did it and it will look like a real fireplace ( matte black so it does not reflect light)I also hang the wreath over the mirror over the fireplace by folding ribbon over and securing it the wire on the back of the mirror .

You have got to start shopping the flea markets in LA. So much Xmas stuff for less. And you could find a larger mirror that was more proportional to your fireplace width and ceiling height.

hey Ethan consider hanging the wreath in the window on the inside …. just get a Suction Cup Hook…..or you could use it as the center piece on you dining table just put some candles in the middle

I love the fireplace, I feel like its the next best option to like just stripping the paint off and restoring the fireplace (cuz who knows what's under that white paint 😵‍💫). I do think that painting the inside black like others have mentioned could work but could also look very color block-y and like harsh. It could look amazing with a dark brown wash inside, and along the edges, in the crevices, or even a gold dusting in all of the crevices, on the corners, etc. It could give it depth and a fun little aged look without being so harsh. This def gave me some inspo on decorating my own home this year - been feeling blah and uninspired. happy holidays!

hiii - i think your wreath could look really good above the mantel - push the mirror to the right a little more then hang the wreath to the left a little higher or lower than the top of the mirror for a kind of layering moment lol love your apartment!
