Hey man, what would you recommend for someone on a budget: a handful of really well curated board games, or take that money and spend it on steam sales and xbox/playstation store sales? Basically which hobby gives the best bang for buck?

@@malachor5ve good question. I'll tell you what I do since I am definitely on a budget. Four young children doesn't leave a large gaming budget. For starters I gave up completely on consoles. Just too expensive and their games don't tend to go on sales like PC does. I've never even played a PS5/Xbox X. All my digital gaming is done on PC. I take advantage of the free games each week on Epic. I've bought 1 game on the Epic store, but have a library of about 100 on there. All from their free game giveaways. For Steam I only buy a game if it's on sale. I'll also wait for a big sale if possible. Rather than get it at 20% off I'll wait a few months until it's 50%. Warno for example I wanted for a while, but I waited until I could get the whole bundle at 50% off. Rarely will I ever buy a new game. As for the board games you would probably want to look at ones with high replay value. I want the games to give me at least the option of 1hr per 1$ spent. Those roll & writes like American Tank Ace are very good for that. Plus tactical games that have a lot of scenarios like Assault Sicily 43, LNLT, or Conflict of Heroes.
