Now I want to go to B&N and stalk the Bible section. Last year, I was suppose to buy myself a Bible as a birthday gift at Barnes, but I chickened out. I completely understand going the cheaper route and buying online. It's a great feeling walking out a store with bags, but it's a better feeling when you save money. Thank you for posting this. It was fun to watch.

I have the She Reads Truth CSB and love it. I want to get an NLT filament Bible, but it doesn’t have to be the Inspire. I found some lesser expensive ones on Amazon. New subscriber! 😊🙏♥️

I love the KJV, and I will read the NKJV. I also have NASB, ESV, and a few others. You have a huge Barnes and Noble. Wow! I could spend some time in there.

I am bemused watching you in front of the KJV section, and being disappointed that so many of the attractive bibles are KJV! I SO agree with your tactic of picking up and HOLDING each Bible to test your personal reaction, yes indeed. Your B&N is terrific with an extensive Bible selection👍🏻 Agree with other commenter that you make me wanna run to the ONE Barnes & Noble in my metro area. Sadly, I found my preferred Bible not by Version - but by “Super Giant Print” size of 16 points. Gotta work with my vision limitations. Highlighters and post-its make a world of difference. Shout out to the film crew - he did a great job! Thanks for the video.❤

Aww thank you Joan for that shout out! Lol! I just wish they had a good balance of different transactions and also I also currently use a large print 16pt but it’s also not my preferred translation but it has helped me understand some verses I’ve overlooked in the past. I trust that God will lead me to whatever translation he wants me to read and I actually think I will read several or do side by side study of verses. I alsoooo just found a greek/ hebrew/english bible that does word by word translation from the hebrew / greek and I’m very intrigued by it but the print is VERY SMALL. It’s on my wish list 😍i may need a magnifying glass to read it lol. Happy holidays 🙏❤️

Many places don't allow recording because it's about the privacy of others. Not everyone wants to be recorded, and want to enjoy their time in that place. I enjoy Booktube vids but I do feel the same. Bookish places are my "comfort zones and getaways" and I'm also a private person. So I get both sides - the Booktubers wanting to create content, but you also should respect others who may not want to be a part of it... or accidentally caught on camera. 😃

My favorite is the discount clearance sale. My favorite layout is single columns and large print. And reference Bible verse by verse at end verse. ❤❤❤❤❤ Special plus is personal size to carry and travel with.

That’s almost identical to my perfect bible! And I just discovered the verse by verse and reference in one of my bibles and have been loving it! Ooh i should have checked it B&N had a clearance section! I definitely plan on going back 😁

That bookshop is massive! Im in my 50s & font size & layout is the most important thing for me, not too heavy & with good cross references. If you ever want to give the King James a try, you can get some especially Thomas Nelson, that have helps with the archaic words on the same page. That blue NIV was stunning! Anything Personal size large print usually has around an 11-14 point font.

Thank you very much for posting this. When a Bible says it is lay flat, it means on a desk, it will lay flat, even in Gen 1 and the end of Revelation. Generally, it will be floppy. Just thought I would clear that up. Thanks again and keep posting!

Thank you for your message! I think that lay flat could mean different things apparently because I have notebooks that are fully lay flat. It has a different type of binding. So i don’t understand what they mean lay flat on a bible because they open like every other book (not flat at all) compared to a lay flat notebook. If you google lay flat notebook you should find it looks very different than what they claim is lay flat. That’s just a pet peeve of mine lol. If all these bibles are lay flat what does a non flat lay bible look like? They all look the same to me. I wish i could add a photo here to show you. Thats an amazing choice of Bibles at Barnes & Noble, in the UK its very difficult to find any stores that even sell bibles, I visited a small independent Bookshop next to a church that didn’t have ANY bibles in stock but they could order one in! Even our largest bookstore chain Waterstones have a pathetically small amount of choice in Bibles.

I really like that pink nlt inspire Bible, but I don’t want to feel like I always have to color in it. The NIV journal the word one you liked is super nice. The hardback niv rose one is so gorgeous! And so much cheaper online unfortunately. I do not NEED another Bible, but it doesn’t stop me from WANTING another Bible lol. ❤

@ Ya, I get it. It’s so crazy because my favorite Bible out of all of them is my NLT Rose Gold Giant Print Compact Bible. 😂 My eyes and hands thank the Lord for it! And it comes with the filament app. 😊 I made it into a prayer Bible, but I always find myself reaching for it.

Hey Deja I don't know if you know this but Barnes and noble have rolls of think print paper in the stationary section when I have the money I want to go back and pick out a print for my bible they have all different kinds but I did not get a chance to ask how much it costs per square feet. And Mardel's Christian book store always has a 30 percent off ad coupon that I always take advantage of for my bibles.

I'm sorry I forgot to give specifics actually I didn't know how to explain what I had seen only that I went back to the journals and I was looking at the pens and stationary so hopefully your Barnes and nobles is set up that way too. I couldn't find anything online that explains why they have rolls of and sheets of different printed paper I just thought they were really cool and cute to maybe add to a book as a cover or inside of the bible. Anyways I hope that clarifies what I stated 😅

Funny you ask because I felt later I should’ve addressed that in the video. I’ve seen a lot of videos where people ask people not to record in stores. And one time when I was at target many years ago I was taking pictures and an employee told me I couldn’t do that. So I guess I was paranoid I would be told i cannot record or be kicked out. I wonder if anyone would actually have a problem with me recording. 🤔

Yes I have other bibles that say lay flat and they don’t, even on a table. I have books and notebooks that actually lay completely flat and it’s because the binding stitching is different. 🤔 Kjv is hard for me to understand. I still reference it sometimes though.
