I feel so bad for Donna! She's the victim at this table, and everyone is trying to blame her for the dysfunction in the family, yet no one wants to take accountability for anything and apologize for their roles in this mess. I truly hope Donna was able to find peace and happiness.

I feel sorry for none of them acting how they are. One day those kids or their friends may see this and imagine what they will think about the adults in this family and if this is how they really act at home imagine how these kids will learn to deal with conflicts with people. all these people think this is funny, truthfully people that act like this disgust me and probably need baby sitters more than their kids do. I only feel bad for every child being raised but lowlifes like these people.

this is something i have been dealing with my whole life i really feel for donna cause she's coming from a very toxic family and everyone's acting like they're hurt but she's the one who's hurt but in all fairness the real victims are the kids in the family imagine what they're thinking right now i know those kids are probably in their late 20's-30's right now it really makes you wonder what was it like for them growing up in this family i really hope donna did the right thing and cut ties with that whole family for the sake of those children

ONE THING i find that nobody talks about is "Victim profile". If you're a victim AND fat? Often than not, people gonna still shit on you. Like how nobody from the security team stepped in to stop Donna's husband from hitting her....like wtf?? If Donna was skinny, she'd definitely fit in the "victim profile' and security would've ran in and took that man off stage immediately. I hope Donna is in a better place now. Her mother seems to have too much ego to humble herself even for her own shild tbh.

There wasn't security there back then; only production staff and pages & ushers from the audience. This was when fighting on the show was just beginning around this time; 1994-95. Someone that worked for the show ( assistant maybe?)said in an interview that this episode was probably the lowest she ever felt doing the show. She was the one that was in charge of getting all the food for this episode. She claimed during the show Donna was completely humiliated and tried to wipe the food off her face, but the assistant had to calm her down and wanted so badly to comfort her but was forced to coerce her to keep the food on during the break for continuity of the show. The assistant also, claimed it was her job to take the guests out to dinner the night before just to rile them up, and make sure not to get them too drunk to be able to show up the next day. She said they’d come to the show in a limo but once they “ performed” leave in a cab.

I remember that interview. This aired during a time when they were desperate for ratings and many other talk shows also started to ramp up the wild behavior with fights breaking out. Ricki Lake during the time was known for attracting a younger audience with fights being very mild but common at the time. After a cooling period from fights, Jerry Springer picked them back up again around the 1996-1997 season which is the season where the fights on his show became mainstream.

Something I learnt as an adult is; Never comment on other people’s body’s!! As a child growing up any positive feed back I got was how skin I was. It was always around my body and I grew up thinking it’s a good thing I’m skinny but I grew up self conscious about my weight when I started getting a little rolls i started to feel worthless! The body is a personal journey and you never know even with good intentions how that can effect a person! My worth depended on my shape of my body so I’d look for attention all in the wrong areas! Also having a parent emotional disconnected parent it fucks you up!

I wonder what season this is from. I don't ever remember seeing the narrator introducing Jerry. It was always through audio

Seriously anyone that goes on this show has no respect for themselves especially airing your problems on TV. Never would I tell the world my problems and clearly 90 percent on this show are clearly mentally unstable.

Nonsense about the pigs weight. She may be fine now when she is young, but when she is older and starts developing heart disease, diabetes and a host of other diseases she may wish that she had listened to her mother!

Fine, but the mother was clearly gaslighting her own daughter and then laughing at it. How can Donna listen to her mother when her mother laughs like everything is a big joke? How is she any better?
