If you have a Big Lots store go and buy a portable electric fireplace to hang your stockings. They have some inexpensive ones in white and some in brown wood.If you don’t live near one do it online, I think you will love one. Love your show and your family, WAYNELL from Texas.

I never post but have to agree 110% about healthcare workers being the worst patients! I’m an RN and KNOW I would have done the SAME thing once getting clearance to walk! Janey, oh baby you were so excited the other day when you got to walk with your boot. Its so very hard for you not to get everything done it your garden. I feel so sorry for you. You will get well but jut try not to over do it. It will take twice so long to get well. Im sorry im bossing you a little bit. You are young than both if my daughters. I just had 2 daughters no sons. Shay done such a beautiful job on the Christmas tree she decorated and the presents she wrapped. Your new home is so beautiful and y'all decorated it beautiful and just enough.Just get welĺ. get a freestanding stocking hanger stand, then you can put it wherever you want and probably even decorate it to match the rest of your christmas decor

Your home looks lovely for Christmas! I have noticed most people I watch on decor and garden YT are going simple this year. GA, White Cottage, She Holds Dearly, Linda Vater, and me. Next year you can plan lights outside. With your foot and ankle injury you have to slow down. Some years are just like that. One December my husband had to have major heart surgery and I did not know if we were going to have him around for Christmas. But we did. Thank God! So no decorations at all at my house, because I worked and cared for my husband the whole time. You can allow yourself time to heal and enjoy your new home and puppy and just take in how much has been done there! And be thankful for all you have in family and friends. Merry Christmas! I will be watching for more videos when you are ready. Blessings to all!

Hi, Janey: I hope your foot feels better soon. Nothing like an injury to make all us gardeners realize how important it is to take care of ourselves and appreciate our health so we can do what we love! For the stockings, a few ideas -- Could you attach them to the curtain rod that you have hanging in your dining area? (The stockings would be very high, but away from your cat and dog so they don't get into them!) I think you said you don't use that door going out to the deck. Another thought would be to purchase a nice spring-loaded curtain rod (there are some nice ones out there today in gold or brushed silver) and put it across the back of your couch, across the window. You could put it at the height you need, just pop it in for the season, and it would be easy to remove. The rod could be decorated with some garland or greens. Last idea would be to use command strips somewhere that could be easily adhered to a wall. You could find a swag that goes across the stockings from one to the other horizontally, making it look like a faux mantle. Hope these ideas help! Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday!

Stocking suggestion: freestanding stocking holders. I've seen metal stands. And wooden. Maybe a video w Robbie and Pamela making one out of a white picket fence. 😊

Janey, your home looks great! Trees are beautiful! I have an idea of where to hang your stockings next year. Consider a beadboard or board & batten accent wall with shelf and pegs or hooks. That would be so pretty! Couldn't figure out how to attach picture, but I'm sure you can find some. Enjoy your time off with your family. Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Your home is so pretty! I don’t know if anyone suggested this or not, but since it’s so close to Christmas, and no time for constructing anything new, just move the stockings to the cabinet under your TV. I never had a fireplace either, and we always hung the stockings under our TV and played the Yule log fire on the television Christmas morning as we opened gifts. 🔥🪵🔥

I think your home looks very elegant, and your daughter did a fantastic job decorating the tree! I am glad that Monty and Jeffrey are such good buds. It amazes me that you can have all your decor out without getting destroyed. Our cat broke two trees before we gave up and just bought a 3' pre-lit tree with no ornaments. You are doing the right thing with trying to take it easy, although I know how hard that can be. It will be worth it though. I think it is very healthy to try to balance your work/home life by taking time off. I hope you and your family have a wonderful time. Merry Christmas! 🥰🌲💐

Janey, your Christmas decor is sooo lovely! Country elegance with the white and gold...the wreaths and swags are just right. Jeffrey loves Shae's sweet tree, and so does Monty...so glad they are a dynamic duo.. the ginger cuties! Maybe, the dying ornament moans because the elf inside is working too hard! Rest that foot so you all can have a happy, healthy Christmas! And celebrate your birthday later next week, the 27th, right? Cheers, Janey! Monty is really growing! So cute. I thought you were crazy getting a puppy with a bad foot. That makes sense when you said it was already setup before your injury. I got a puppy in Dec. 2021 and the first few weeks were rough.

Janey your Christmas trees are so pretty. The cat chasing the dog is so cute. I didn't have that luck with my two dogs and two cats. One dog finally got used to the cats but the other dog never has. Merry Christmas and Happy New year and take it easy. We see you next year .
