Pregnancy can be so hard on your immune system! I have the same Crate and Barrel glass top table and we are finally getting rid of it. We want a big leather square ottoman to rest our feet on instead, but I will miss the old one too.

Jennifer, your decorations are simple and lovely. I also decorated somewhat sparsely this year, my husband fell at work on 12/8 and broke 3 ribs and his pelvis, so he is non weight bearing for at least 2 months. I didn't appreciate how much he helps with decorating until now. Our sons are grown and will be coming home for Christmas Day, so in spite of our simple Christmas, their visit will be the best part of our Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I know this Christmas season has been a busy and pregnant one. For future years one thing you might like doing...we purchase ornaments for our children every year ( sharpie on bottom with name of each), also one for our fur baby, special reminders...such as 10 year anniversary, 1st Xmas, new home etc. Bringing them out each year makes for wonderful memories. Also, once they go to school, their handmade ornaments are the best. In your glass top coffee table is a good place to display special Xmas plates etc to prevent little ones from touching. Just some things I do. Merry Christmas !!!

Ditto, My now 20 year old son was born on Dec. 24th and another son was born on Dec. 26th (12:05 AM) It is very hard being pregnant at Christmas time but I always told my sons "It is the most beautiful and special time of the year!" You did a lot for being 8 months pregnant and with a toddler!! I kept going back and forth with pre-lit trees and decided not to go with one - it doesn't really take that long to string a tree, plus you can put as many lights on as you like. Hope everyone in your family feels better very soon!!

Jennifer, I know how much you and Charlotte love books! I just discovered these books for my toddler and they’re so cute! They’re “Babylit” books. They have all the classics like Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, Jungle Book, Anne of Green Gables.... etc. they are board books and they each teach something different! We get ours on Amazon and they’re super affordable! And a cute collection to start! I’ve been sharing these with everyone because I’m so in love with them!

Oh my gosh I was in the same situation when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. My husband had really extreme back pain and ended up needing surgery for it when my daughter was 2 months old. That was a crazy crazy time. I hope your husband’s back is better.
