Holiday Magic in a Downsized Home: Decorating Tips for a Cozy Season

Hi, it's always lovely to hear your words of wisdom after many years of experience with the issues. I've always had a smaller home and since I've lived in one place for so long I accumulated too much. I now find myself trying to minimize and downsize. Just this week I've decluttered about half of my Christmas decorations. They were not being used anyway and hopefully someone else can enjoy them and put them to good use. One of the things I like best are Christmas lights. They add a touch of joy and sparkle at this dark time of year. I've also replaced my 5 foot tree with a 4 foot tree which is also narrower. It's prelit and I only add a few bulbs and top it with a star. Many of the small Christmas tchotchkes I have were gifted to me and I'm adding most of it to the giveaway bag.
