One trick I use, is to take gold or copper shadow and layer it over any blue shade. It can make a cool blue shade morphe into a very nice more neutral shade.

I think this is festive and seasonless and really beautiful. The Chicago palette is easier for me to appreciate. Thanks for introducing this ❤ My Nomad wish list is getting pretty long 😂

Thanksgiving isn’t here yet! I don’t think I will be getting this. I like the Speakeasy palette better.

Hahaha yeah it definitely isn’t festive snow season yet thank goodness! I’m not ready. LOVE the Speakeasy! Are you like me and one who doesn’t do many blues?
@dawnbonome90562 ай бұрын
I don’t wear blue at all. I have an olive complexion, and I never wear or went for blue shades for eyeshadow.

I really want to see more palettes from them without blues. Must be easier to formulate or they sell better? I want the Chicago!!!
@KeepBeautyReal12 ай бұрын
Actually I think blues can really be tricky to do well, but I have noticed a LOT of brand doing blues in the last 6 months or so…and I know there are blue lovers out there! Personally I agree with you, and would like to see some different shades. Or maybe not a palette with 3 blues and a very cool bluish silver. Although when Safari, Hudson Valley and all of the Air palettes came out I’m sure there were people who were like “where is the BLUE!!?” 🤣 I think I’m going to do a ranking video because I’m honestly curious to look back over all of my Nomad palettes at all of the color stories!

I like talking through videos. I love the music you played in this video. Where can I find the music?
@KeepBeautyReal12 ай бұрын
Ok I’ll have to do a few more talk through tutorials then. The music is from a service that I use-but let me look back at the tracks and artists. You might be able to find them by googling. I’ll look and add a comment here for you 😉

Beautiful looks! The 3rd is my favorite. You piqued my internet in City Lips (you're the first person I've known to mention them.) Would you say they're hydrating ? May try 1 or 2
@KeepBeautyReal12 ай бұрын
I do think they’re hydrating! Maybe not as much as a lip mask or something like that…but they definitely aren’t like some where your lips actually feel DRY later. I use the clear as a lip mask all the time! I will sometimes throw their lip oil on and then the clear gloss over the top at night because the gloss stays on a while

Do you set your eyeshadow primer every time?
@KeepBeautyReal12 ай бұрын
It depends on the texture of the primer. If it’s a primer that has a bit of tack or slight rubber cement vibe( UD primer potion for instance, or the Devinah one I used has a tiny bit of that), I do. I think I mentioned it (or maybe I edited out that ramble 🤣), but I find that that texture can lead to skipping on the eye when I’m using a back and forth motion with mattes and not packing a shade on with no swiping. Especially as I get older and my eyelid skin isn’t as taut (😭😭😭). The setting powder just makes for a smooth experience. If I’m using a primer for more vibrancy out of the shadow then I’d skip the setting and just pack on the shadow before blending-but I don’t usually have an issue. If a primer dries down and doesn’t have that feeling then I don’t powder it (BUT those tend to look more dry on my lids). If I’m using a concealer as my primer then I always set it because it’s usually a bit moist. Loooong answer. 🤷🏻♀️
@kayla47022 ай бұрын
@KeepBeautyReal1 thank you for the long detailed answer, I should really start doing that with my Devinah primer, I never thought to, but maybe that's why some formulas don't work as well. Hmm. Lol. I've always thought though that setting the primer might affect the primer's efficiency.? If that makes sense. I also remember back in HS and 20s, using Shroom from Mac to go all over my lid with no primer and then whatever colors I wanted. So I suppose it makes sense.
@KeepBeautyReal12 ай бұрын
@ I think the only thing it really affects is the saturation of the tone. You’d still have a great barrier layer from oils/sweat etc-but when you lay a powder onto something tacky or damp it’s more intense in color(but IMO, also more likely to skip…or sometimes when shadows get darker in some areas than others like with some creamy mattes). I just use a TINY bit of a fine milled powder and it seems to do the trick. Try it once and let me know how it goes for you!
