I just want to say, i used to make your recipes as a teenager and loved them and your humorous and fun take on cooking. Im now a married mom of 3, and i just came across your videos again after 7 years and your recipes are still wonderful and you have the same great attitude. I love that even the structure of your videos havent changed. It warmed my heart to hear even the tune at the beginning hasnt changed. Keep up the great work chef john. You and your recipes are a delight to have.

John, I have been watching your videos since like 2012 and I have to say, your rhymes that you come up with for filming are fantastic-as well as everything you make! Thank you for the instructions throughout the years, laughs, and helping me impress my relatives and co-workers with your recipes. I hope you have a Merry Christmas & and even Happier New Year.

Great instructions! I hope this encourages people to try making this recipe. Yeast breads are very forgiving (except for don't have the liquids too hot), so the novice can feel very accomplished with the finished product. Looks impressive and delicious!

9:54 I can't believe you moved the center magical cranberry!!! I had the beginnings of a very magical story of how that cranberry had struggled to be the star of your star bread 😂
@sethcarson52122 күн бұрын
500 years from now people are gonna sneak a magical cranberry into the center of their starbread and tell the story of how the first one just "appeared" out of nowhere. Just a legend of course. No one knows where the tradition comes from. But the legend lives on.

I always look forward to your videos, Chef John! You truly taught me how to cook, and I owe so much of my success in the kitchen to you. Before discovering your channel, I struggled to follow recipes and often ended up with disappointing results. But through your transparency, humor, and those reassuring reminders that there’s no single “perfect” outcome, you gave me the confidence to experiment and cook with joy. Thank you for making cooking approachable and fun 😊

When mentioning the degree temperature for things, can you add a notation or other popup on screen that provides the conversion and information about the temperature? Since I *know* you're using Farenheit but some people from my neck of the woods may forget that and use celcius - and 100-110 degrees is boiling point in C, so that milk would be waaaay too hot for the use lol! I also suggest a version where you use chocolate spread in the middle if you're not into cinnamon and nuts/fruit - the chocolate spread version is SO tasty!
