Lovely vlog brought back fond memories of my cruise to Norway and Iceland on Crown Princess in 2009. We sailed right through the fjord to Geiranger and got lovely views of the seven sisters.. Thank you

Although I have never done an ocean cruise, I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. The scenic views in this one are as good as any I have seen. Fabulous quality and so professional ! When we eventually get round to an ocean cruise (we like river cruises), I think the Norwegian fjords will have to be our number 1 choice based on what I have seen in this and the other films in this series.

Sailing in Geiranger fjord was also one of our dreams and it absolutely did not disappoint. Epic is the right word. We booked the self-guided tour with P&O and it was an early start for us. We got to Geiranger about 9:30 am and had 3 hours there. We did a bit of a hike along the Fossevandring next to the waterfall. The views from the Fjord Centre down the valley was spectacular, even though it wasn't high up. It was a 90-minute saunter and it was very enjoyable and highly recommended. Great shots of the sailing out. We had the same views from our balcony, which was a few decks below where you were. I don't remember the thunderstorm. We must have been tucking into our steaks at Keel & Cow. We ate in Epicurean on a different night with the normal menu, and loved the food. Guess what? We had the table next to yours! What a wonderful way to celebrate a special birthday! Many happy returns, Gavin!

Ohhh - if we ever return we’ll try and get over to Geiranger earlier to spend more time there. That sail out was stunning, aft balcony would have been fantastic! Ohhh Keel and Cow was fab! It was such a perfect day 😍

Yeah, they’ve not a big floating pontoon for ships visiting the port, but we think they are limiting the number of visits so they stop in Hellsylt instead. Lovely little village!

We visited Hellesylt on 12th July which fell on my 40th birthday too. We were travelling with both sets of parents and my partner surprised me by proposing at the waterfall...had some locals cheering haha. Booked to return in 2025. We did the local ferry to Geiranger and past the seven sisters (although was more like 5 sisters lol)

It really is amazing! We’ve been several times and this was the first where we didn’t have the best weather, but it’s still stunning. June/July us normally the best time from experience but then you could be unlucky like us this year! Look at our Sky princess cruise from last year, that was June and it was stunning ☀️ Do consider booking 👍

Depends which way your travelling really? Are you doing a return trip? If return just swap sides each way. Sailing from hellesylt to gerainger I would say port side( that’s the side you’ll see the 7sisters waterfalls) 👍
