All my friends think I am crazy for loving country music because I black and from the hood. Country music is like R&b but a better story line. This was before musicians were crossing genres. I use to buy Dixie Chics albums, rock, pop, rap and jazz albums when I was like 14. People use say wtf do you have us listening too? Then when we got grown they were you were so right about country music…. You introduced us to it! Music can connect people in so many ways. We are more alike then unlike. No matter how we were raised or what we are going through or been through, it’s a song that may make us relate to one another.

This is one of those great country songs that has been slept on by a lot! It has a very subtle message in the video that people miss. It throws together a lot of elements and really represents the modern south. Old and new, Country, rap, traditional and new, black and white. It is a an anthem for everyone coming together and just having fun.

Of you want a very quick lesson on country music from the time it started until now there's something on KZbin called the history of country music it shows you how it started it kind of goes through it rapidly. It starts out with Jimmy Rogers and the Carter family who started country music in Bristol Tennessee back in the twenties and just goes from there. One of my some of my favorite singers on there are the louvin Brothers they're in the 50s they really harmonized together if you want to hear some really good harmonization without all the special effects go back into the 50s country and listen to some of that it will blow your mind... But anyway I think it's like 12 episodes only like 10 minutes a piece maybe 15 some of them it'd be worth you checking it out it's got the male singers the female singers it goes into the '90s like 1991 Garth Brooks came on the scene and saved country music all by itself.... Check out the video from 1992 this is Garth ain't going down to the sun comes up it's a video done in Dallas Texas check out that that's when Garth save country music he kept country but played rock and roll stadium check it out brother sorry to linger but I just think you're genuine I really do I can tell by your reactions in your face thank you sir may God bless you..... Keeping it country keeping it real..but listen I like all music but country is my favorite.... Check out Alan Jackson way down on yonder on the Chattahoochee..... Or Mark chesnut old country.
