Finally found the issue with my elbow, this got so bad that my forearm went numb, complete weakness and palsy of the wrist. I stopped all arm exercises for 6 months to recover having been told it was tennis elbows but knowing none of those triggers points were my trigger points. This video described everyone of my trigger points and helped relieve and break up those muscle groups, along with some simple gliding exercises to release that radial nerve. I am back to doing bicep days with these messages and additional gliding exercises and see how it goes.

Rather than using your thumb, you can rest your arm on a folded towel a table and use a 1.25 litre soda bottle (the kind with legs) then use one of the legs to dig into the tendon.. that will give you a fair amount of pressure without having to exert yourself.. then if you want more pressure you can use a 2 litre bottle.. and for even more pressure you can rest your chin on the bottle. that allows you to apply pressure for a long time without wearing your thumbs out. im doing that right now as I watch this video.

I had been dealing with this problem for the last few months and just tried taking one of those reciprocating massagers and jammed it into where you jammed your thumb at 8:10 and the next day the nerve pain was gone and it’s so far stayed gone. The spot where I jammed the massager was sore, but healed, too, in a couple days. Felt like a miracle cure.
@boldventuresintl Жыл бұрын
Your experience certainly does sound like a "miracle cure" of some sort and certainly something I hope to have happen as well. Has the pain/discomfort returned at all in the few months since you commented here? Could you please provide a bit more detail as to just exactly what it is that you specifically did in order to achieve such excellent results? This syndrome and the severe pain it causes is SO frustrating as it truly limits essentially every activity. Thanks again
@NoahThacker Жыл бұрын
@@boldventuresintl The reciprocating massager I’m referring to I guess is called a massage gun. They’re available on Amazon. I put the chisel shaped bit on the massager and set it on the highest power level and jammed it in where I said in my first comment. I also tried straightening my arm out and moving my wrist around while I had the massager in there. It hurt and was sore for a couple days, but the nerve pain that would shoot down my arm whenever I tried to use a drill or pick up a piece of firewood went away. I’ll occasionally feel a small tingle of the same nerve pain and I’ll just hit that spot again with the massager. Been great since. Back to using drills and chainsaws and all that with no issues.

hi 44 yr old healthy bricklayer. for pass 3yrs ive been dealing with tightness, muscle or neve (?)cramping pain in this area. starts with radiating pain right below inside elbow line. same as your video and then shoots towards the wrist if its getting worst. it does not get there but thats the direction of pain as it worsens (top of forearm). by the way its both arms in the same spot. ive seen doctors ive seen 3 physiotherapist. 3 chiropractors 2 Osteopaths. and ive been diagnose with tendinitis in supinator. or pinched Radial nerve caused by pour muscle mechanics. rounding shoulder under heavy loads. Although it is bothered when opening up a jar or washing my self with a arm in 90degree, pain when lifting anything in 90 degree angle door knobs putting on a backpack . loss of strength and dexterity in hands or just weaker grip or grip that can not be held very long with hammer and chisel. Although the hand grip pain could be just related to not stretching my hands enough. which im doing now and could be helping . The Osteopaths both were saying weak lower traps and bad mechanics or muscle activation causing to round shoulders and pinching the Radial never . and to work on bring shoulders back and strength lower mid traps. which i have been doing for pass 4 months. ive been doing nerve flossing for Radial nerve and find this for sure opens up this area in your video and ive even done what you are talking about before i knew what it was called. although im far from knowing what im doing. treatments by all 3 phyisos was dry needling or acupuncture. dry needling felt good. the acupuncture just hurt the next day. so i guess my question to you is . Is this caused by inflamed tendinitis that pinches the Radial nerve or is it my radial nerve pinched by my posture. just looking for any input. thanks and ill be working on what u have here on video to see if it helps.. like every day? or once week? ps or could this be nerve entrapment ..? which i dont full understand i find it odd is know one has taken there fingers or hands and done any treatment on my arms in pain area. just acupuncture. however they could even go to were pain was because they would say no thats were your nerves are cant use acupuncture there. cheers and thanks for taking time to read.

Hi Will. My only experience with relief comes from freeing up the inflammation with crossfiber friction in the effected zone. Nerve / Tendon...it does not matter. I try to not overthink it. I know where the pain is and I go after it. I go deep because that is what helped me. It sounds like you have doctors trying to figure it out and that's great. Knowledge is power and half the fight. But if they are dry needling they think it is inflammation. I hope you can get some relief by going hard at it. I would talk to your doctor about everything you plan to do before so that if it does bring relief they know where to go from there. Good fortune to you Will and I hope you feel better, Doug

Oh geez. If you want to fix radial tunnel it’s easy peasy. It’s caused by repetitive movements like surfing with your index finger on a tablet all night, using a computer mouse, etc. When the wrist is in flexion (bent), you stretch the extensors of the forearm and contract the flexors. This causes the extensors to stretch and contract. That contraction and tightness is expressed on the radial nerve. Step on use a stylus on your tablet. Keep wrist straight using a mouse. Lastly you need to do wrist curls (regular and reverse) with dumbbells. High reps 20-30, 3 sets a day. Do not stretch as you’ll just cause more spasms in the extensors. Massage will make it worse.

I donated plasma twice, then had 2 panic attacks, now in that area when I move my arm fast, or certain ways it feels like under my skin is on fire. It's making my anxiety worse with worry, so idk why it's feeling that way.

So I started lifting weights and I started having pain in my forearm. How long does it take to heal? It’s been almost 2 months having this pain .

I know a fysio that said that most other fysio does it wrong. They " tickle " clients. So many are waste of money. Same people who come every week fore years without any improvement. I think people would get a shock when coming to a real fysio with sport background. It will hurt but that pain will go away :)

What if those muscles are allready trained (and the radial pain is actually from weightlifting in gym)

Holy sht man. I've been in pain for 6mo doing "glides" and stretches with no effect. 2 days of doing this and my pain is 80% reduced. Yes it hurts like a MFR but I can literally pick up a paver with no pain right now. I was even going to start PRP and think about surgery!!!!

At 10 minutes I think you're very close to the acupuncture point LI 10..... Do you know this point also affects tension in the neck and trapezius ? And does this pressure on that part of the arm the forearm relieve the neck trapezius tension

I personally believe that the forearm has no impact on neck

Amazing video and instruction. Thank you! I'm holding off I'm going to the doctor until I have a reasonable understanding of what this condition is because I don't want to get misdiagnosed with tennis elbow. During workouts, hammer curls are pretty much impossible although other things are no problem. If I hold a book or my cell phone, something cramps in the elbow. It sounds like this might be the issue.

I have had pain in both forearms/elbows for 4 years and was diagnosed with tennis elbow. I've already had an unsuccessful operation. How did you go about it and were you able to solve the pain?
