Nice looking carrots! Thanks for these seed to harvest videos! Funny story… when my son was about 10 years old I sent him to the “carrot” patch to get a few carrots for lunch. He was gone quite a while, so I went to see what was taking him so long… he had pulled up my entire 4 ft by 6ft raised bed of carrots! Thankfully they were ready for harvest! But… I spent the rest of the afternoon preserving the carrots! My son is now 49 years old! Father to 13 children, 7 of them are adopted. How time flies! Might just try growing some carrots in a bucket this winter.

Great video. If you cover the seeds they won't dry out as easily and you won't have to check them multiple times a day. In the bucket just use the lid. In the ground I use old fertilizer/soil bags with a weight on top. Carrots take at least 7 days to germinate so you can keep them covered for 6 days then remove the cover each morning and take a peek.
@nulocs8423 Жыл бұрын
I just planted some yesterday in 5 gallon buckets and covered them with newspaper. Before doing that, I germinated them indoors for about a week. Can't wait to see how they turn out. First time trying.

I now have a heart condition because of a bad COVID infection and my husband was on a ventilator for more than 3 months because of COVID and will be on oxygen the rest of his life. The Good Lord restored him to us. If not for the prayers of so many around the world and God’s good graces he would not be here today. We have had to start switching our ‘our in the yard’ ground level gardens, to more raised beds. That is proving to be expensive so we are trying containers for now until we can get more raised bed area to plant. I also appreciate Nancy showing us how she takes the harvest to the table. I’m not crazy about eating carrots (the only vegetable I dislike) but I’m going to try her way to roast them. I ferment our carrots in salt brine and I especially do like the taste of them. I’m going to check out Johnny’s seed company because I like the pellet carrot seeds. Just subbed. I'm doing my research before I plant, came across your video. My carrot seeds all came up last year but I was new and I transferred the babies into the big garden beds and they quickly died. My daughter and I are determined to have a good garden this year and I will be checking your other videos. I love your wife's shirt and your prayer. From seed to harvest from oven to the table. Thank you so much! Thank you for helping Delilah AND ME.

Hey there, Hollis and Nancy! My hunny bunny just shared this video with me and man am I glad! Y'all have given me a renewed hope that even with my achy brakey joints, I can still grow carrots. Thank you so very much. Also thank you for the scenes of rain, turkey and your little dog. ❤❤

There is nothing like home grown . I no longer have my little daddy, he would grow a garden like no one else I know. My dad grew a turnip as bigger than two sizes of a baseball. He got his picture put in the newspaper. Also he could grow tomatoes bigger than a slice of bread. He grew everything. My mom would pickle the okra, an cucumbers, an she would make Pear jelly, black berry jelly, sweet pickles. I sure do miss them both. Thank you for your videos. You are so kind. Love your videos. Those carrots looked delicious also. You both take care. GOD Bless you both. From okla. But now in ks. Byeeeeee!❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✝️🦋💅💅💅💅💅.Applauding you.
