Titans, glorious children
of Uranus and Gaia,
ancestors of our fathers,
you dwell down below
in Tartarean homes,
in the bowels of the Earth.
From you are descended
all toiling mortals,
the brood of the sea and of the land,
then the brood of the birds,
of all generations
of the world born you.
I call upon you
to banish harsh anger
if some earthly forefather of mine
stormed your homes.
