Hollow Knight's platinum nearly drove me crazy...
I got Hollow Knight's platinum in this video and it took so long that I might have lost some years off my life. This video was extremely difficult to make but was fun none the less!

I don't think people understand how truly hard hollow knight is. This guy did everything way better, improved faster, and went farther than me. I had a good 120hr in the game, but I wasn't even able to beat p4. This man beat p5.

Also, some people have done it hitless, with all bindings. Ie, they can only cast one spell at a time, their nail does minimal damage, and no charms.

You can’t beat the pantheon unless you get good, took me close to a week of hours of practice to beat all the pantheons, never felt more accomplished in a game than when that platinum hit! I herd people use some glitch to do it, I don’t get why, you out in all that effort just to give up at the last min?

It's just like the Celeste Platinum, the second time going through it made me better for the challenges at the end than I ever was before. Pure ascension. My man. I was there with you at the end, feeling how you could finally let it go. Best gaming experience ever. The "I fkin did it" moment. At the same time, when it comes to myself, I feel happiness and sadness at times like this, seeing how the game's basically over. Sure, you could hang around and do more stuff, but it still feels like something has ended. Everything else, like the bindings, are more artificial difficulty. At least that's how I feel. Damn bro, I fell in love with this game during the pandemic. I played the game on PC, and have every achievement EXCEPT beating the pantheon of hallownest. I 100% the game in steel soul mode, and even completed the path of pain… but gave up on beating the 5th pantheon. You’ve inspired me to try again tho, so hopefully I can beat it before hollow knight silk song releases!

I know it is not that interesting for Platinum-hunters to go overboard. But let me tell you as a "veteran" in this game there are some small easter eggs to find. I think the one a lot of people know about is "Path of Pain". You can also get an entry for beating all bosses in Godhome on the hardest difficulty. Just to name a few. Loved to see you evolve throughout your journey getting better and better at the game. I am still waiting for Silksong......am hoping it will be soon. Very well done. 👌

Hollow knight is one of my all time faves. It's the first game for which I got all the achievements on steam which I believe include three more than the PS platinum, those being: Speedrun 1 (complete the game in under 10 hours), Speedrun 2 (complete the game in under 5 hours) and speed completion (complete the game with 100% completion in under 20 hours). I also went through the hell of beating every boss on radiant. I truly love this game and I wish I could forget everything about it and experience it blindly once more.

I wonder if that's a thing many people do on first runs, or it's just me and him. Everything not unlimited always scares me, takes of lot of getting used to and very confortable with soul management to play with spells, 3-4 playthroughs at least. First one I had quick focus, baldur, long nail and quick slash, feeling like it was the only way ever to finish the game. Then it's like removing the little wheels of the bike one by one and getting used to. Guess a good part of the autistic parts of the HK crowd relate: find a stable infinite-attack functionning way and stick with this comfort, not sure if more people do that.

PD: I dont remember excactly what requirements u need, but you can fight the Radiance on the champaing, After beating the HK Hornet comes and cracks him open and you use your dreamnail to enter his mind and beat Radiance, there you get the "Best" ending

U need Void Heart instead of Kingsoul (transform it), i wont tell you how just look it up. Once you get Void Heart Hornet will be standing just outside the Black Egg and she'll tell you something about that its your battle but she'll help if an oppertunity arises

For me, I spent a whole year asking myself whether or not I’d actually do P5. By the time I decided to actually do it, I got it within 3 attempts because I knew most of the bosses like the back of my hand. For context, I’d fight Pure Vessel and NKG for fun on the daily, do AbsRad and Markoth were the only bosses that I actually needed practice on.

Hollow Knight is totally my favorite game of all time!!! The only thing I have not completed in this game is the Pantheons. ... Ok I also haven't done a speed run but...I personally find speed runs insane. For me personally, finishing Steel Soul is easier than a speed run. And Steel Soul took me like 5 attempts! 😅The Path of Pain was one hell of a challenge too. I have gotten through the first three pantheons with most of the bindings and unlocked the fourth pantheon. It's just such a long grueling battle that I haven't finished. Oh BTW I have the Nintendo Switch version, so I don't really get trophies... but there is still a menu where you can see the achievements because that's built into the game itself and not system exclusive.

My favorite thing to do in this game is tank the hell out of every boss. No matter how long it takes. It’s super fun just rushing at them with quickslash, pure nail, and undreakable strength and just annihilating them. Wether it take 1 try, or 30. Fun times.
