Wonderful theme, but the Pale Court is an even better theme, too bad it was not included in the game and will only remain as a bonus track on the soundtrack disc.
@iLikePiano4 жыл бұрын
Yeah unfortunately leaving out wonderful things from the finished products is a common thing. I can only imagine how much great music, movie scenes, book passages, and many other things were forgotten because they were cut from the finish products.

Yeah, it's always assumed in piano music that if you can't reach something, you do what I did... Play the bottom note first then the top. I can't reach Eb to G either :)

I just got the sheet music for this and Celeste, thanks wholly to seeing you play these and loving your choices for phrasing. The sheets don't have fingering suggestions, or even very many RH/LH indications. I've only played this piece a couple times to get a feel for it, but already I can see that your fingering choices are superior to mine and your RH/LH choices make the piece easier. I enjoyed your recent video on the intro to this piece, but I was wondering if you might consider releasing a fingering/technique guide, even if it's just a text file or numbers and indications (don't want you to reproduce the actual sheet music and risk copywrite issues) which we could then buy from you to support you.

Aha, I beat you to this one by only a few days! :p There's no beating that sound quality, though. Well played, I tend to agree with the faster tempo compared to the score's marking (2/2 feel rather than 4/4 IMO) and you characterized each section uniquely and very expressively. You also seemed to make mostly light work of these descending/ascending sixths patterns which I found deceptively awkward to play, lol.
@iLikePiano4 жыл бұрын
Oh funny that we uploaded it within just a few days of each other. Yeah I chose this tempo because it felt natural to me and seemed to flow well. I think now I was just a tad TOO fast but oh well... Thanks! The 6ths though were a tad awkward for me too, while making the recording I was so worried I would play a wrong note LOL. There was a very specific spot in the 6ths that I would often hit a wrong note.
@iLikePiano4 жыл бұрын
Also, I like the feel of your recording. It's peaceful, calming, and (I think there's a better word than this) "monotone." I think that's what this piece needs. I think my playing was too emotional. This piece needs that slightly "subdued" feel which you captured well in your playing.
@FrankyM_Piano4 жыл бұрын
@@iLikePiano Thank you so much! I get what you mean but I really liked your approach to the piece as well - the eloquent expression and wider dynamic range helps recapture some of the original's orchestral intensity.

This arrangement is part of the official Hollow Knight piano collections so I had to play it. haha. Oh I know "You May call me father."
