The ending is really creepy. Just imagine, that there was an apocalypse and this guy lost all his friends with family. He tried to survive in dead world without people... but with something else.... Oneday he felt asleep in that house on the floor and had a dream, where Gura (maybe his mother or wife) tried to wake him up 5 minutes before the start of the disaster. Now he regrets, that day he didn't get up and didn't hug Gura for the last time in his life....

I know this has been discussed a bunch on Xeruhara’s comment, but it does appear that human kind managed to replicate life. And those creations where aware and alive. They were almost human in every sense. The brains were either lab grown from some sort of twisted DNA replication or harvested from live subjects, past memories erased, and maybe even some sort of chip of a kind? And I think from what the video and documents imply that it was possible to order a specific ‘model’ of this artificial human being as someone else: moulded into a personality/person of the buyers desire. But this went awry. The synths, (just for a easier term), began to reliese what they were. Going back to that chip I mentioned earlier; it could have like an effect that prohibited the synths from remembering what they where, and looking up where they came crom. And these chips became faulty or where faulty to begin with. They began to remember, research and reliese what had been done to them, and what they had become. They began to revolt all around the world, and a humanitarian act was passed to stop the unholy production of synths. And they were emancipated from their owners. That or they had killed them by then, as possibly implied by one of the last images shown in the flash. In this mans case, the synth that he possessed chip broke, and knew what it was. It came to close to killing the man, but either let him go or he escaped. Another theory is that the synths revolted, and threw the world into chaos, forcing people to hide. Maybe the synths killed all those who had connections to the project that had created them. Maybe they tried to kill them all. Or my first thought could be true, and the man was related to the project, maybe the ceo or just a tester or even a researcher, and lost everything, living in a abandoned building or maybe even in jail. Who knows. I might come back and revise this as I am writing this at 2 am and am completely unsure of what the hell im writing. I’m sure if I come back later and revise this I could come up with a more cohesive theory that meshs with other peoples theory’s, the videos and my own ideas. But that’ll have to wait till I get some damn sleep.
