In the beginning when she was talking at the table with two cups of coffee. Shes supposed to be talking to the player. And the split screen helps a lot. To see the difference between real life and the spirit world at the same exact as its happening. You're supposed to be able to witness both reality at the same time so it hits harder. I beg to differ that it dulls the immersion. It intensifies it.

I like the split screen when she is in both worlds. It shows what other people see her doing while she is on the other side. There is other games that the whole time it was in the persons head and they were shooting at things that weren't actually there. Interesting stuff

personally for me i love how they have made the split screen from normal to spiritual world and actually when i was mentally ill i had the same abilities as the woman you play as in this game i used to talk to my deceased farther when in reality he wasn't their it used to be a nice feeling because i could talk to him and have a catch up for the things i had missed. but when back to reality my whole world felt like i was just going crazy but to me it was as real as it could of being.

The first time you grabbed the light or energy stuff and there was a split screen again, the skeletons stacked standing in the spirit realm looked so familiar it confused me But a short while later, right after you said "this is where the demo started!" And the spirit world flashed in full view, with the building on the horizon I LOST IT Thats Zdzisław Beksiński's work!!! I found his art in highschool and have been obsessed ever since Its incredibly haunting and beautiful in so many ways I looked it up and saw that his art was a huge insporation for the world and I absolutely love that I cant wait to see more of it, the atmosphere is my favorite thing about this game so far too :) EDIT: I seriously reccomend looking up his work and learning more about him, especially if you love eerie art♡

I really love the white noise in the game. It really sets-up the tone of isolation and solitude but yes, the game needs to be in a 1st person view or at least behind the ear third person of view.

I love Bloober Team’s games. “The Medium” is not as scary as their other games such as “Layers of Fear”, but the narration is still their style, and I freaking love it. I’ve just finished the game an hour ago, and is glad to see u played through the whole game. It was an awesome experience when I played the game by myself, and I believe it will still be an awesome experience to watch your walkthroughs. Thanks for uploading these fantastic videos!

The burn injury to the main character was almost exactly what happened to my mother in 1934 when she was 2 y.o. She fell backward into a tub of scalding bath water. It was the Great Depression and my family was so poor they didn't have running water. My Grandmother heated water on a wood burning stove to draw baths for everyone. My mother got an infection in her burns ( that covered her entire back from shoulders to buttocks) and nearly died. But in September (2022) she will be 90 years old! Love you mom.

Marianne seems to have a similiar supernatural power with Danny Torrance from the STEPHEN KING movie/novel called ”DOCTOR SLEEP”. DANNY Worked in a Nursing-Home within a similiar to this one which was to comfort the dying ones by using THE SHINING to communicate through their minds to distract them from their fear. Very good scene Also when he has a hunting-rifle in the woods to try to takedown the spiritual cult known as THE TRUE KNOT.

I'm less than 30 mins into it, but want to mention that it takes some of the emersion out when she works at a morge, and gets easily scared from some flickering lights but when the door closes in front of her by some shadow figure there is no reaction... Still looks pretty good with that said...
