Holly is a great physical specimen perhaps the best in her field. But looking good and being athletic is not what primarily wins fights. She needs to spend more time on fight technique and craft and less time with the novelty training stuff like this. She always seems tactically insecure when she fights, she fights tentatively and loses fights she should be winning and it’s because she is not confident in her craftsmanship. She’s physically superior to most of her competition but that can only take you so far.. the art of fighting and the art of training are 2 different things...

Take the emotion out of your observation and look at the reality. I’d be willing to bet that all of the fighters who beat holly holm could not do all of those excercises holly does, she’s physically on another level, so why do they beat holly? Because they out craft her, holly is in great shape, her fighting science is not all it could be, that’s all I’m saying. I think she SHOULD be able to be the best in her field, the potential is there, but I just don’t think her actual fight training makes the most of her particular capabilities. My opinion

I knew she was ripe for an upset loss to Misha Tate because Holly didn't have the killer instincts to finish her as soon as possible... and she could've. She tried to win on points and it cost her dearly. She went on to lose to inferior fighters. I felt she should've retired three or four fights ago. But her last fight shows she's learned some killer attitude. These competitors aren't your damn friend... you go in there to smash them... period. I hope she gets her shot soon and she can win. Defend a few times and move on... time to hang it up. She's been doing this around 20 years! You have to know when to quit...
