In the future would you consider extending the kitchen out to meet the back of the garage? - so than can make kitchen bigger than connect to garage room - maybe mini utility/ downstairs loo?

It's lovely Holly so happy for you both The older the property the better I've been told. I'm in a 80s property and have the same bathroom switch I hates it but plan to move so am not spending loads as I rent. I cant wait to see the changes.

Getting rid of a hatch? Are you serious? That was the best part about my grandparents house, they're the best things. I like that you're partner wants to keep more of the original features, it's such a shame when people just rip out features like stairails that fit with the period of the property, buy a different period property if you don't like perfectly functioning features.
