Idk if he'll ever learn to stop underestimating Dillon or not, but I think that Lucas's insecurities may eventually break them up.

Oh no absolutely you are 100% right, but on the other hand you don’t know what you don’t know right. So even if he - Lucas is trying to prove a point to himself or something, he needs to figure that out whatever way possible and somehow at this point in their relationship he sees sex as the logical next step. Dillon is obviously quite happy to be waiting till the cows come home clearly, but this is all Lucas. Maybe after they do actually do it, it could be Lucas actually….nah I’m good for now. i had a similar situation happen to me with a school friend in the past, we met in middle school and were best friends all the way up to high school. i noticed a lot of signs that he might have wanted more, but was too shy to start a conversation like that and i was a pretty shy kid too so we never really spoke about our feelings out in the open. once we started high school he started acting strange and the moment he got a girlfriend he started acting really cold towards me and told me to basically stop bothering him. it really hurt me and i stopped hanging out with him, i was always confused why he suddenly acted like that as i've never done anything to hurt or wrong him before and he never explained why, he basically completely ignored my existence and just moved on like nothing ever happened. i was really upset but i made a few other friends during high school and i eventually got over it but sometimes i still wonder about it and wish we could have stayed friends

In this scene Oscar, had a good performance. Nate, was told something so personal and deep, but his reponse was not genuine. Why are they saying "I care about you"? How about I love you. The writers of this scene could have done a lot better. Dillon was more sensitive, but in this scene he appears distant and not sincere. I'm a little disappointed with Mr Dass performance.
