Peri doesn't get it, Juliet lied to protect her because she knew it would just break her heart if she was dating a dying woman. I agree though that telling everyone when you sick is better because it would be more heartbreaking if someone you love found out you were dead the next day and had no idea you was sick in the first place.

Both reactions are realistic. With Nadira, it is expected for Nadira to be supportive after she previously lost her patience with Juliet for not meeting her Dad. She must have felt bad about it when she found out. I'm glad they didn't villainise Nadira just because she got between Juliet and Peri. I used to think she'd be the obsessive type after she hurt Peri's arm but her arranged meet up with Peri proved me wrong, displaying Nadira's growth. I was about to lose patience with Peri because of the way she reacted but I can see this is affecting her too. Denial is a common response to times like this and she doesn't want to believe this is happening to Juliet. I'm glad she came around after her talk with Ste. And let's not forget how Juliet only recently stepped out of that denial after her cancer diagnosis. Part of the reason she kept it a secret was because she didn't want to believe that this is happening to her. It must have been a huge step for Juliet to tell her mum and admit to Peri she's struggling to keep up the tough act in the same day!

Donna-Marie reacted the same way all moms would react when their child tells them at their ill. And i do agree with her. The first person you should tell about your illness are your parents. I don't think Donna-Marie should've run away like that but i think i understand why she did. She was shocked to find out that her daughter has cancer and i think that's how all parents would've reacted. But i don't think that she should've run away like that after finding out that her daughter has cancer.

God, these UK Xmas Soap Storylines are so heartbreaking and sad. The worst town to go to for Xmas is Springfield on Guiding Light. Buzz Cooper spends one Xmas without his Family eating Chinese Food at a Restaurant, Roger Thorpe is thrown out of Ed Bauer's House when he tries to apologize to his true love Holly about a Misunderstanding. Alan Spaulding still leads his Sister on about being sick and dying of Cancer so he could get his assets back after being released from prison and she as well as two other ladies who were his former Lovers who signed them over. Bill Lewis thinks of his Father Billy who is still doing time in Prison for attempted Murder.
