Explains so much now. So Jack innocently placed his hand on the same area of Frankie’s back that JJ used to do before sliding his hand down further, so it transported Frankie back to when JJ was doing it, hence she freaked out.

Poor Frankie. It's terrible enough to be sa'd, but by your own sibling? Plus, it's awful how a lot of abusers will make out like it's a "game" and giving it a name - JJ called it "School Discos." When Frankie said they stopped "playing" years ago, it makes me wonder how old they were when JJ started abusing her. Also, statistics state that in most cases of s*xual abuse, it's usually by someone you know.

He’s been doing it since they were extremely young the producers have revealed. And they planned this storyline out before they took over from the previous one, they just didn’t know which characters to tell the storyline via until someone remembered Darren has got two other children who are teenagers. That’s why they’ve brought them back all grown up for this storyline! Suzanne thinks her former boyfriend who also happened to be Frankie’s dance teacher did something to her, but Frankie kept telling her mom “it wasn’t him” and he ended up walking out on Suzanne when she asked him about it. Darren called Suzanne out because she was more concerned about the fact that she “wasn’t getting her leg over then finding out what was going on with their daughter” (I have no clue what “getting your leg over” means I’ve never heard of it before until Darren said it to Suzanne! But whatever it means it seems like he was correct because that’s all she was bothered about and she left Frankie to do whatever she wanted and she just fawned all over JJ!) JJ can’t do no wrong in Suzanne’s eyes, it’s Frankie that causes nothing but issues! So I can’t see Suzanne believing the truth about what JJ’s been doing when it comes out! She’ll say it’s all Frankie’s fault.

When Frankie was dancing in her room, it seemed to be implied that it was Suzanne's previous partner, but now we can see the abuser was hidden in plain sight, (like they are, a lot of the time). Question is, is who showed a child that’s around five/six years old that type of material and where he learned it from is the big question? It’s been confirmed by the actor and actress who plays the twins along with the producers of the show that when the SA started. I’m guessing that it’s either one of the moms many boyfriends she’s had that showed JJ that type of stuff, he either came across it himself probably from one of the moms boyfriends collections or he was probably SA himself by said boyfriend the mom had at the time and JJ doesn’t realize it’s wrong and that’s why he started doing it to his sister. And you’re right regarding him being the golden child but he messes up next week because he doesn’t realize that Nancy has been sleeping in Frankie’s room at night and she catches him coming into her bedroom in the middle of the night and Frankie does something accidentally to Morgan which causes her to end up in hospital and Oscar is the one that gets into trouble for what happens. Nancy has been sleeping in her room on one condition that Morgan doesn’t wake up in the night and Frankie does something to make sure she doesn’t after Nancy tells her that she got woken up by JJ coming into her room. It’s a genuine mistake she makes and feels guilty about it when Morgan gets rushed to the emergency room. She wants to tell the truth but JJ gets to Nancy and their father first and covers for his sister before she can tell the truth, which is why Oscar takes the blame which he denies and doesn’t understand why or what’s going on. I’ve got a feeling that either Nancy or Freddie are going to be the ones who works out what’s going on because both are now starting to notice and question things regarding the twins especially Frankie’s behavior towards her brother. Nancy apparently rips into JJ for sneaking into Frankie’s room when everybody else is asleep in the house. We’ve not got long left until the truth starts coming out. And thanks for telling me what “getting your leg over” means. It’s a bit of a strange saying but saying that I’ve never heard of half the stuff that you Brits come out with to describe certain things, so I really appreciate you telling me. X

This one is very dark and uncomfortable. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for her to process what he did to her... he's her brother. No wonder she suppressed it. I can only imagine how devastating it will be for everyone when she reveals it. She's going to have a very difficult journey ahead of her. Because she needs to understand that JJ abused her, that what they did wasn't just a game, and it's going to be a big challenge to make people believe her.

The new producers have had this storyline in their minds before they even started working on the show, they just didn’t know which characters to do the storyline with until someone remembered that Darren had two other children who are now teenagers. That’s why they’ve been brought back as grown up teenagers for this storyline. So they we both told right from the start and clearly agreed to do the storyline, which needs telling because this happens and is happening all over a lot more than people think. It’s called “incestreal SA” and it doesn’t just happen between siblings but other members of the family. One member who’s fully 🩸 related SA one or more members of the same fully 🩸 related family members against their will usually in the same household all living under the same roof.

This plus the Rose storyline is a step too far. I know Brookside did it in the 90s but it was a character-driven story with actual long term impact on characters. This is Hollyoaks and its 'issue-based' stories which last a few weeks before a reset button. It's a wonder if the scriptwriters actually studied the basics of storytelling

I'm aware these things happen and absolutely these topics should be covered, but my point was Hollyoaks' tendency to bring up these storylines for views like a KZbinr then the whole thing being forgotten a few months later. Guaranteed the JJ character won't last long once it's been revealed and the Frankie actress will probably move on after a 12 month contract which I guess is the nature of employment for young actors but it would be great if Frankie and JJ became long term characters with depth and actual impact from stories like this. That's why Hollyoaks is dropping to 3 days per week and will undoubtedly disappear after the 30th anniversary.

Where are Charlie, Oscar, and Morgan? According to the Hollyoaks pages for Oscar and Morgan on Fandom, it says "Last Appearance: [Date]" for both, which usually means that's when a character temporarily or permanently exits the soap.

They were both on the show yesterday! They haven’t left! They can only have so many people in one scene at certain points because they’ve still got some of the C 19 restrictions in place because it’s not fully gone away yet. So no both the actors haven’t left the show, it’s likely they had reached the maximum number of people they can have on the set of their onscreen home, and that’s why they wasn’t in this scene. They both had to make an excuse to go upstairs when Suzanne and the twins got home and Frankie went to her bedroom when it was announced Jack was moving back home!

That what struck me about the original Mcqueen sibiling it was Realisitic that they did not all look as Jacqui and Mercedes shared the same dad Tina was mixed Race Carmel John-Paul and Michela were meant to have the same dad it later turned out that John-Paul dad was a man called Iain that transition to a woman called Sally they had all meant to have grown up in the same house they should of had the same accents

Uncomfortable to watch, unrecognised form of abuse that's not talked about enough, superb acting by both of these super talented teenagers in question, vulnerable Frankie, and manipulative JJ, both should be given awards for best actors and actresses, or JJ as best villain, can't remember their real names

Through the many, many years I have watched Hollyoaks, this storyline is the probably the darkest/traumatic I've seen. I praise Hollyoaks for a taboo subject that isn't talked about enough and also cannot praise the actors playing Frankie and JJ enough. That last scene... No words.
