Yeah I knew it would be Sally and that Theresa was covering for her. Sally giving George the unexpected final blow was the last course on her mind so I'm sure she didn't mean to kill George as much she wants him to pay for taunting and abusing John Paul so far as I'm concerned it was self defense because George was about to hit Theresa. Sally better not get sent down for this. She is the kindest woman in the world and would do anything to protect her kids
@Tvjunkieful123 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but from a legal point of view what is important is the evidence of the actual incident. How kind and thoughtful Sally is otherwise does not allow her to kill someone. And the evidence, had this been a real case, doesn`t look to good for her. Or at least not for the explanation she and Theresa claims to be the truth. Had there been a physical confrontation between George and Theresa, as Theresa claims, it is odd there was not found any evidence of that confrontation neither on the crime scene, nor on George`s body in the preliminary post mortem. Consequently it seems more likely Sally slammed the book stop into the back of George`s head for some other reason than to protect Theresa. Should that be the case, it is even possible Theresa either saw Sally kill George, or found George dead and worked out someone close to JP - and therefore Theresa herself - were the most likely suspects, and therefore took the book stop, in case there was DNA or fingerprints on it that could get someone she cared about in trouble. In real life these facts would have spelt serious trouble for both Sally and Theresa, had they been caught, and not been believed about their story about George attacking Theresa, because of the lack of forensic and medical evidence of such a confrontation.
@jwsm23 жыл бұрын
If Sally hadn't hit George he would have attacked Theresa then come after her.Good riddance to that evil rubbish.
@Tvjunkieful123 жыл бұрын
Sally and Theresa`s problem - had it been a real life incident - is that neither the preliminary post mortem of George, nor the forensic examination of the crime scene found any indications of a violent confrontation - other than the blunt object thump to the back of George`s head that killed him. Had George attacked Theresa, there likely would have been both fibers, perhaps even DNA, from Theresa under George`s fingernails, fibers - or even DNA: skin cells, sweat, saliva - on the ground and on the boxes, maybe even overturned boxes and items spread around on the ground. Without any such evidence, it would not have been inconceivable it would be concluded Sally killed George for some other reason than to protect Theresa or anybody else - making the killing likely to be seen as at least manslaughter. The only thing going for Sally in that situation, would be that she didn`t bring the weapon, but grabbed an object close in sight. At least that would save her a murder charge. Theresa would be in trouble to, having removed evidence from a crime scene, and being part of a killing after the fact.

Yeah I think the writers were lazy here, or there's been a miscommunication, it's not in Sally's character to hold back if her son is in danger / trouble so doesn't add up you're right, she would have told the police straight away rather than JP and Theresa taking the blame. Why didn't Sally confess straight away then, it's not like her to let her son take the blame, she would do the right thing, and not cause him more pain, so which reason for not owning up to it will the writers come up with, it's just dumb and lazy of them. Maybe they just thought it would be too predictable if it was one of the others, and they just really wanted another "Who done it" storyline, even though it is totally out of character for her.

@@xxwhispersxx2856yes if they are really going for that, I could see, she did it to protect her son, but I mean afterwards she would have come clean about killing George instead of letting John Paul go to prison/take the blame for it, even if she might think, he would get out quickly again with a good lawyer, if that was another reason the writers were going for.

Sorry, but she didn`t exactly protect her son by getting him held on remand, did she? And since JP had kicked him out and George was going away, JP didn`t really need protection either. Personally I find Sally just a slightly more plausible killer than Bronzer (Goldie`s dog). Neither of them are likely to hit anyone in the back of the head with a book stop, but had Sally done so, I think she would not have watched quietly while her own son was held on remand, and her grandson deprived of his father. Oh, deary deary me. Theresa`s story made it obvious she couldn`t be telling the truth, and have killed George at same time, since she claimed he came at her, pushed her to the ground - yet she somehow must have managed to free herself, to be able to thump him in the back of the head, as was the cause of death according to the preliminary post mortem. So she couldn`t be the killer. At least not if the story about George attacking her was true, cause then he would not have been thumped in the back of the head, but in the front, or one of the sides. Not to mention fiber from her clothes should have been found under his fingernails - and discovered during the preliminary post mortem - if he had grabbed her, as she claimed. So why were they not? More than likely he would have had cuts and bruises from her defensive moves as well, had the story about George attacking her been true. Which either it is not, or the story is flawed, since any physical altercation between George and Theresa there would have been discovered traces from in the preliminary post mortem. Even George`s last known spoken line (for us viewers) "What do you want?!" does not make sense, unless he addressed someone other than his attacker at that time, or later turned his back to the same attacker, all the time the preliminary post mortem only discovered one thump at the back of his head as cause of death - and he had his face towards the person he addressed at that time. From the crime scene alone, it seems far more plausible that Sally snuck up on George, thumped him in the back of his head, fled the scene - but left the book stop. Theresa either saw Sally kill George, or assumed the killer had to be someone in the circle around JP because of what they had learned about George that day, and therefore removed the book stop, fearing it could contain fingerprints or DNA that could get someone she cared about caught. With Theresa confessing to the killing, and serving the story about the attack, that could have been her way of telling Sally she had her back - since Sally knew it was she, and not Theresa who had killed George. And therefore the only reason for Theresa to give her that clandestine hint, was if Theresa knew Sally was the killer. Sally claiming Theresa was attacked by George would also have made the killing of George justifiable, since Sally would have done what she did to protect Theresa from a physically superior attacker. Unless too many questions were raised about the lack of physical evidence of an altercation between George and Theresa, the police is likely to conclude that Sally acted to protect Theresa, and the fact she only struck George once, and with an item she grabbed in panic on the scene when she saw George attack Theresa - making it severely difficult to prove Sally intended to kill George. All Theresa and Sally would have needed to not be prosecuted would have been a plausible explanation to why they were there - which did not involve causing harm, getting revenge, or getting back at George for what he did to JP. Otherwise the police could come to question if their stories had been prepared for the purpose of not getting caught. But honestly, the strangest thing about this ending, is that Sally is worried for Theresa`s daughter, Kathleen Angel, but have not shown the same concern for her own son and grandson, despite the former has been held on remand for a killing she herself has committed. So sorry Hollyoaks, I didn`t really think it would be possible for you to create an even worse whodunit than many of your previous failed attempts at that particular genre - but you proved me wrong. We need letters much further down the alphabet than F to mark this one.

Why? George was leaving, JP had kicked him out and finished with him. The only thing Sally achieved by killing George was getting her own son held on remand, her grandson deprived of his father, and herself losing sleep over what she had done. In my book that is not something any parent would do. In my book that is something someone far more stupid and ruthless than Sally has been described to be would do, and therefore I frankly find Sally slightly more likely as George`s killer, than Bronzer (Goldie`s dog). But of the human suspects, definitely the least plausible of all. Therefore this is a rubbish SL.

@@Not-Ap Yes, had she called the police immediately, claimed she had seen George fall backwards into one of his boxes, having stumbled in something, that made him fall backwards, because it was no other wounds than the one to the back of his head that killed him, she likely would have been believed - and George`s death declared to have been accidental - after the book stop in the box was found to match the lethal blow to the back of his head. Even if there were fingerprints or DNA on the book stop, it is unlikely to have been discovered, cause the likelihood he could have been killed with one single blow by his own book stop, would have been less obvious, than him stumbling taking a step backwards, and fall into the box and land o it with the back of his head. And should any such examinations be executed, being JP`s parent, she could claim her fingerprints was left when she visited them in their home, or because she had helped George pack some of his things while he was moving out - he wouldn`t have been there to say against her.

@Tvjunkieful123 жыл бұрын
@@stvp68 I blame the people who think killing people as revenge is justifiable. The writers are writing fiction and entertainment. That is harmless, until people start to believe in it too much. Admittedly I would have liked the characters to be more nuanced and realistic than what we saw with George, Breda, and the list goes on. But those decisions are made higher up, and by a wider scope of people, than just the writers. But I think it sad so many potential great characters have been ruined by SLs which makes them so hated they need to be written out. And also fear the tendency to kill off characters needed to be existed, is why so many of the Hollyoaks viewers think killing people they feel are bad is justifiable. George, as an example - had he been a real person - would have been the way he was for a reason. Which again means he likely could alter his behavior and thinking through therapy and anti-aggression techniques. Meaning he could have become a good boyfriend/husband to JP and stepfather to Matthew afterwards. But being killed off the way he was, the message Hollyoaks is sending is that certain people deserves to be killed. That is dangerous, cause those are the signals certain extremist organizations and radicalized elements also sends, and therefore Hollyoaks storylines can cause more people to be radicalized, because they easier accept violence and hate as useful tools in life, than those not desensitized by seeing psycho characters, crimes, violence and hateful outbursts every night. Where characters succeeds, or feel good, executing the same type of hate and violence as the radicalized elements are involved in.
