Trying to find logic in Hollyoaks is like trying to draw blood out from a rock, that's futile. They completely messed up the show by axing so many of the cast for this time jump. Some of the actors they got rid of or left are very talented actors that have been there for years. I can't see this show lasting much more than a year or 18 months.

The first thing that annoyed me was the re-writing of history from the week before when Leila said Ste made it out the car before the explosion, yet we saw them both inside it as it went off. Not even a scratch or scar on his body either, but was in a year long coma.. it's pathetic.

His character was chosen to be written off. He didn’t even know how it would end until he realized there were no more scenes to be shot.

Ste just survives everything. Leela told him he got out quickly of the car. James didn’t. How the both made it out of that car to get to the hospital in the first place is far fetched. The whole car immediately engulfed with flames the second he started the ignition. Ain’t no way they both survived let alone Ste not have a single burn scar… I’m thinking Dillon is the father. There is no way Ste can take care of that baby right now unless miraculously in a week or two, he regains his strength and is able to fully care for himself. I honestly think she just said that because she heard him crying to Leela for them not to take the baby away. Also, I think Leela and family have enough on their plate to take in a newborn.Leela has got maybe another trimester herself. And with the whole Peri/Abe/Cleo situation, the Dexter family don’t need anymore stress added. Plus unless James owned the entire Wierside View building, Ste doesn’t have a home. I don’t think even Leah has lived there in a year.

Rex being the younger brother of Grace isn't terribly surprising, might not have been obvious but it wasn't a compelling revelation Cleo not escaping is just dragging this story out and Marie is becoming the densest person around, who on earth sets up someone else's daughter with their own son knowing he's abusive towards women? She's got two sons who are hateful and can't even see it Yet another predicable outcome, everyone knew Lucas being at young offenders was because he attacked JJ, not even remotely shocking It's nice Leah wants to pursue a career in law to follow James's footsteps, one of the few exits that isn't rushed or insulting

I don't see how that is even plausible because the car went up in a fireball as soon as James turned the ignition on, with Ste sat right beside him. He also survived being thrown off of a building, and when he had his dodgy leg, he was walking around fine a few episodes later. Hollyoaks always bend the storyline for Ste, and think us viewers will be too dense to remember.
